A Review of Ken’s Steak House Creamy Greek Salad Dressing

Dressing, Steak Houses

I am a big fan of many Ken’s brand steak house salad dressings, so when I came across a bottle of Ken’s Steak House Creamy Greek Salad Dressing in the unrefrigerated salad dressing section of my local grocery store, I was quite interested in it. I decided to buy it, try it out and write an unbiased product review all about my personal experience with it. Here is what I discovered!

One eight ounce bottle of Ken’s Steak House Creamy Greek Salad Dressing costs under two dollars. A decent price, in my opinion. One bottle has eight servings in it. This product is low in saturated fat. True, it is not a diet friendly salad dressing by any means, but the low saturated fat content is a plus. It is also low in cholesterol and I liked that fact. This Greek salad dressing has extra virgin olive oil, vinegar, egg yolks, garlic, lemon juice concentrate, onion, white wine, red wine and many other ingredients in it. All of those intrigued me. I could not wait to taste this product.

I am a salad lover and I like trying lots of different kinds of salad dressings. I tried Ken’s Steak House Creamy Greek Salad Dressing on a traditional salad with iceberg lettuce, green olives, shredded cheddar cheese, tomato slices, carrots and bacon bits. It was yummy but, I immediately noticed a really strong vinegar taste. Oh, boy. Really strong. There is way too much vinegar in this salad dressing and that is so sad. The vinegar taste totally overpowers the great creamy and rich Greek dressing flavor. Darn. I really wanted to love this product and I tried. It had too much vinegar bite. I must admit that I was quite disappointed. I rate it two and one half stars out of five stars and that rating is being kind. I will not be buying this one again. Vinegar lovers may love this one, but I didn’t. Ken’s brand foods is so much better than this. Sigh.

This is a product of the USA. Ken’s dressings come in Chef’s Reserve, Fat Free, Lite, Light Options, Lite Accents, Regular, Marinades and more. They have many different and creative flavors like Asian, blue cheese, balsamic, caesar, french, Italian, honey mustard, Parmesan, ranch, raspberry, Russian, just to name a few. Most are very good.

I liked trying Ken’s Steak House Creamy Greek Salad Dressing and writing a product review about it, but it did not live up to my expectations. Many of Ken’s brand salad dressings are so good. Much better than this one. For more information, you can visit the kensfoods.com website. I guess they all can’t be winners. Oh, well.
