A Product Review of Remifemin Menopause Herbal Supplement

Hot Flashes, Night Sweats

Middle age brings many changes for women and their bodies. One of them is a natural part of aging called menopause. It usually takes several years for the process to reach completion and women suffer from discomfort during the meantime from several uncomfortable symptoms. Mood swings, hot flashes, and night sweats are the most common symptoms and can really make your life miserable if you suffer from one or more of these symptoms.

I first tried Remifemin Menopause Herbal Supplement several years ago because I started having hot flashes and night sweats in my early 40’s. My doctor just shrugged it off as a natural part of aging and didn’t offer any sympathy or support. I decided to take a look at the pharmacy to see if I could find something to help ease the discomforts. I found a natural supplement, Remifemin Menopause Herbal Supplement, and decided to give it a try. Several years later, I again turned to this product after having a hysterectomy and being thrown into full symptoms of menopause overnight.

Product Information on Remifemin Menopause Herbal Supplement

Remifemin Menopause Herbal Supplement is a herbal supplement to help women deal and live through the menopause years and lessen the agony of discomforts that menopause brings. It helps with the common night sweats, hot flashes, mood swings, irritability, and sleeplessness that all go along with menopause. The package of Remifemin Menopause Herbal Supplements that I purchased came in a 40 tablet box. The tablets are on a blister pack for easy opening with two tablets per square for a one day dosage. Remifemin is to be taken once in the morning and once at night with water. The package states that you will notice improvements in 4-12 weeks but I noticed that my hot flashes and night sweats were somewhat better after taking the supplement for only one week. I noticed a big difference after two weeks and was then sold on this product and it’s effectiveness.

Research has shown that this product is effective for common menopausal symptoms and has been used in Europe for the last 40 years. The product is all natural containing no drugs or estrogen. This product has not been evaluated or approved by the Food and Drug Administration because it is a supplement. I am not alarmed by this because your other vitamin/herbal supplements that are on the market are also not evaluated by FDA. I had positive thoughts about this product since it has been used in Europe for so many years. I also didn’t see any ingredients that have been in the news lately causing concerns or problems.

Ingredients

Black Cohosh Extract (Root and Rhizome) 20 mg., lactose, cellulose, potato starch, magnesium sterate, and natural peppermint flavor.

Remifemin Menopause Herbal Supplements contains no salt, yeast, wheat, gluten, corn, soy, coloring, or preservatives.

Does It Really Work?

Early menopause seems to run in my family. I can remember a cousin going through symptoms in her 30’s. At least mine didn’t start that early but I did start having hot flashes in my later 30’s and the night sweats appeared in my early 40’s. Believe me when I say that waking up drenched in sweat is not fun, especially when it becomes a nightly affair. Remifemin immediately started working on my hot flashes after a couple days of taking the medication. I noticed that I didn’t have the same intensity of attacks of both hot flashes and night sweats. I would still have them but they now manageable and bearable. I also noticed that with continued use the night sweats did not happen as frequently. I wasn’t waking up every night wet from sweat anymore. This was such a relief. I could finally sleep through the night again. I also think Remifemin helps with the mood swings-my husband will second this one! I know I feel a lot better taking this supplement vs. nothing at all.

My second experience with this product was after my hysterectomy. I was sent home with a patch containing hormones which would last for one week. When the patch wasn’t working anymore, I immediately knew. The hot flashes were there and they were intense! My doctor asked before releasing me from the hospital if I wanted to continue with the patch or take an oral supplement. I opted for the oral supplement of estrogen. I ended up taking the estrogen for about 6 weeks. At that time my symptoms were easing up and the hot flashes were not as intense or happening as often. I decided to try out my Remifemin which I already had in the cabinet. It worked just fine with my symptoms and got me through the final days, weeks and months of hot flashes.

Final Word on Remifemin

If you are experiencing the common symptoms of menopause like hot flashes, night sweats, mood swings I highly recommend this product. It doesn’t totally cure the problems but it will make life bearable again. If you end up with a doctor who will not listen to you or prescribe anything for you to get through these trying years, give Remifemin a try.
