A Guide to Playing CT Lottery Numbers Games

In 1972, the State of Connecticut began operating a lottery system, with just one game, named “The Lottery”. In 1977, Connecticut began offering “The Daily Numbers”, a 3- digit game in which players attempt to match randomly- drawn numbers. Since then, a proliferation of other lottery games have been introduced in Connecticut, including many instant, or ‘scratch’ games and several other numbers games. In each of these numbers games, the objective is for players to match randomly- drawn numbers. Players may pick their own numbers, or opt for “Quick Picks”, which are numbers that are randomly chosen by computer. Some of the numbers games that are offered by Ct Lottery, such as The Daily Numbers, Play4 and Cash5, feature daily and / or nightly drawings, while others, such as Classic Lotto, are drawn twice- weekly. Connecticut is also a participant in the multi- state lottery game known as PowerBall, which also conducts drawings twice- weekly. Presented here, is a guide to playing the various numbers ganes offered by the State of Connecticut, through its lottery agency, which is known as Ct Lottery.
