Tobacco Review: Timber Wolf Wintergreen Long Cut Chewing Tobacco

Chewing Tobacco, The Chew, Wintergreen

I have been using chewing tobacco for many years now and throughout my experiences I have encountered many different brands, flavors, textures and styles of chewing tobacco. Timber Wolf Long Cut is the one brand that I prefer most often and the flavor of wintergreen is one that I enjoy most.

Timber Wolf Wintergreen Long Cut Flavor:

The flavor of Timber Wolf Wintergreen is lacking a bit from some of its higher priced competitors. The wintergreen flavor does not come out as strong as I would like and doesn’t last as long as I would prefer either. Overall the flavor is much better than some but below others so I would have to put it in the upper middle class of chewing tobacco.

Timber Wolf Wintergreen Long Cut Texture:

The texture of Timber Wolf Long Cut is overall pretty good. It is not gummy like so many of the other moderately price chewing tobaccos on the market. On the other hand it is a bit drier than I would like. I much prefer the long cut texture to that of the fine cut because it stays together in the mouth better. However, Timber Wolf does tend to fall apart after a shorter period of use than most other brands.

Timber Wolf Wintergreen Long Cut Pro’s

Probably the most important pro for Timber Wolf Wintergreen Long Cut chewing tobacco is the competitive price. It is not lacking in quality far enough behind the major top brands to make the extra two to three dollars worth while. The price of Timber Wolf Long Cut is usually around $2.00 or $2.50 where I’m from. That means I am paying almost half that of a can of the big name brands.

Timber Wolf Wintergreen Long Cut Con’s

One of the major cons that Timber Wolf has is that the chew tends to fall apart and doesn’t last as long as other higher quality tobaccos do. I have also found that the chew will go stale faster than other brands. Also as I mentioned earlier the flavor is not as strong as I would like.

Is Timber Wolf Wintergreen Long Cut Recommended?

I would recommend Timber Wolf Wintergreen Long Cut chew to a consumer who enjoys good value with their chewing tobacco. The price is simply hard to beat and the quality difference is little noticed. Timber Wolf Wintergreen Long Cut is a great tobacco for the price paid. It is miles ahead of the brands at the lower end of the quality line and only needs few improvements to bring it to the level of the higher end chewing tobaccos.
