With summer right around the corner, and trips to the pool or beach becoming more frequent, a lot of people are going to find their skin drying out more and more. Combating that during the warm summer months can almost be as hard as fighting dry skin during the winter. That’s why I’m glad Dove® came along and brought us a great body wash that is made for any type of skin.
Dove’s new Cream Oil body wash comes in three different styles for different skin types, based upon the type of moisture you need most. Not only that, but each style comes in a different scent.
If you have skin that is just a bit thirsty and are craving smoother skin, you’ll be trying Dove Cream Oil Delicate which comes in Jasmine and Vanilla. If your skin needs more moisture, you’ll want to try the creamy style which comes in Cherry Blossom and Almond. And for those that are in dire need for moisture quickly, you’ll want to use ultra rich which is scented with Rosewood and Cocoa Butter.
At school, I’m subjected to heavily chlorinated water, which is something I’m not used, so naturally I end up with horribly dry skin by the time school lets out. I decided that my best bet would be to try a body wash that would help hydrate my skin in the shower so I wouldn’t have to rely on lotion night and day. When I heard about Dove’s new cream oil line, I decided to try it because Dove usually has excellent products, and I was not disappointed with this one.
I tried Dove’s creamy cream oil body was that, if you recall is scented like cherry blossoms and almonds. What really turned my onto this product is the fact that it really smells like cherry blossoms, so every shower is kind of a breath of fresh air. It is not an over powering scent however, it’s just strong enough, yet subtle enough to make a great impact.
I noticed a huge difference after the first shower. My skin felt a lot smoother than it had previously, and it certainly didn’t feel as moisture deprived than I have been so used too. It’s easy to lather up with, but I felt it only has one draw back; to really get an all over lather a small size amount will not go a long way. I can’t speak for everyone in this department, as I’m sure everyone has different feelings about this, but I like being able to make a little go a long way. If this is one of the main priorities when using a body wash product, I would consider whether or not you really want the moisture, or if you really want to make a little go a long way.
I really like the fact that natural oils are used in this body wash, but it doesn’t feel oily. It feels natural, and doesn’t leave skin feeling oily, over washed, or over hydrated. It leaves skin feeling just right.
