Spring Fling: Earth Day Celebration: April 19, 2008

The Wild Place at the Children’s Museum in Easton re-opens today. At the Wild Place children can enjoy learning in an outdoor setting, make nature-related arts and crafts, and enjoy the garden.

The Earth Day activities for kids take place from 10am until 4pm and are part of regular admission which is $6 per person. Please note, if it rains the event is moved to Sunday, April 20, 2008 from noon until 4pm.

Earth Day with Jeff Corwin: April 20, 2008

TV host Jeff Corwin from Animal Planet and the Discovery Channel is making an Earth Day appearance at the Franklin Park Zoo. Other Earth Day events for kids include earth-related arts and crafts, and educational activities.

The Earth Day activities for kids are from 11am until3 3pm. Jeff Corwin will make his appearance at 1pm.

Earth Day Celebration: April 20, 2008

Drumlin Farm has Earth Day activities for kids planned on April 20, 2008 from 9am until 5pm. Families can enjoy scavenger hunts and eco-quizzes. Kids also have a chance to explore nature up close.

The Earth Day activities for kids are free with the regular admission price of $6 for adults and $4 for children three through 12 and seniors.

Earth Day at Stone Zoo: April 20, 2008

Earth Day activities at Stone Zoo will keep kids busy and interested. Experience fun animal exhibits and learn about earth-saving activities you can do yourself.

Earth Day activities for kids include live entertainment and craft making.

Live entertainment includes animal stories by local storyteller, Elisa Pearmin. Hear her wild tales of tails between 11am an 11:30am or between 11:40am until noon.

Or, enjoy traditional Native American craft making with Claudia Tree Fox between 1pm and 2pm.

The Boston Children’s Museum hosts their own Earthy Day activities on Tuesday April 22, 2008 from 11am until 3pm. There will be an educational focus on trees and on the environment. Families can take home their very own tree.
