A wide assortment of food items are consistently offered as refreshments with the coffee at some of my regular AA meetings. Last Thursday, when it was 90 degrees here in Hartford, Connecticut, one of the regular attendees at that meeting brought in a box of 600 lb Gorillas Ice Cream Cookie Sandwiches. The woman came in after the meeting started, sat down and passed the box of ice cream sandwiches.

I’m very glad that I decided to try one of these cleverly – named sandwiches. It was large, refreshing and very tasty. Ironically, a common saying in Alcoholics Anonymous is “Pick up that 600 pound monster and call people” referring to the telephone as the 600 pound monster. I am so impressed with the size, flavor, texture and overall quality of these ice cream sandwiches, that I have decided to write a product review of them.

Texture
The texture of 600 lb Gorillas Ice Cream Cookie Sandwiches is positively delightful. The two chocolate chip cookies that sandwich the ice cream are soft, yet they stand up to the mouth – pleasing consistency of the vanilla ice cream. To me, the consistency of the ice cream seemed to be right in – between hard and soft – serve. I thought that the texture of this treat was a prime positive factor, making it fun to eat.

Aah, the all – important taste, or flavor of the 600 lb Gorillas Ice Cream Cookie Sandwiches. I am pleased to say that in addition to having a funky name, these ice cream sandwiches are delicious. I have eaten other brands of cookie ice cream sandwiches, which tasted just fine and I think that this brand easily at least matches, if not surpasses, the well – known cookie ice cream sandwiches in flavor and overall quality.
The chocolate chip cookies feature a pleasant, homemade – style flavor that is emboldened by great – tasting chocolate chips. The vanilla ice cream is a smooth and creamy specimen that has a nice vanilla flavor. All put together, these various flavors coalesce into a very tasty and satisfying ice cream sandwich.
Packaging
600 lb Gorillas Ice Cream Cookie Sandwiches are individually – wrapped, which I think is a very good thing. Each sandwich is packaged in an attractively – designed, plastic wrapper that is easy to open. The 12 sandwiches are packaged in an equally attractive cardboard box that lists all relevant ingredient and nutritional information.
Overall Rating
To be honest, I have nothing but positive things to say about 600 lb Gorillas Ice Cream Cookie Sandwiches. They are large in size, made with high – quality ingredients, are delicious and have a very funky name. Hopefully, these top – rate ice cream sandwiches will be stocked in more stores in the future. I highly recommend these ice cream cookie sandwiches and suggest that you ask your local supermarket manager if the sandwiches can be ordered and stocked at that store. They are worth it.
