5 Hot Dance Clubs in Denver, CO

Dance Clubs

Whether you’ve traveled from across the U.S., across the world, or right across town, Denver has some of the hottest nightclubs in any thriving metropolis. The rich diversity of culture in this mile high city, coupled with the influence of the wild, wild West makes for dance clubs with interesting themes.

Coming from big cities such as Chicago and Atlanta, I’m a pretty tough critic when it comes to nightlife. Denver club owners have certainly done their homework to determine what people want. With the influence of other major cities, clubs in Denver are attracting a mix of genres who crave everything from Country-Western to high energy Techno. Let’s explore the options:

1. 50
1475 Lawrence Street, Denver, CO 80202

Yes, that’s Five Degrees. My 6-inch heels have met the dance floor of this trendy, retro cornucopia of thumping Techno music and top 40 favorites. The bartenders, servers and hostesses resemble print models from Elle Magazine. The clientele: the guys look like GQ models, the chicks sport the cool styles and dance the night away. Enjoy your choice of tasty martinis and top shelf tequilas. Feed your taste buds with the luscious chocolate fountain that cascades delectable richness from top to bottom. An overall good time, definite thumbs up.

2. Lavish
1448 Market Street, Denver, CO 80202

This nightclub is posh, sophisticated and not for the typical bar-hoppers. Come dressed to impress and know that there’s competition from the window to the wall. Metro-sexual guys and hot girls fill this place from wall to wall on Thursday through Saturday nights. As with 5 Degrees, sophistication and setting apart the “simplicity” of a neighborhood dive far exceed the ordinary. The hard-pumping beats and clientele from young to experienced make for an exciting evening. Parking is horrific, but the parking garages offer a temporary, protected hub for your vehicle. Elegant martinis to imported beers are the staple at this joint. There is a full menu, happy hour and bottle service. Yes, there is a VIP section, upon request so call ahead for reservations.

3. The Church
1160 Lincoln Street, Denver, CO 80209

This old church has been renovated to become a nightclub that claims vast genres of people and vampires (just kidding). The ambiance is a trippy, old-style nostalgic cathedral that awes your soul and wakes your senses from the time you enter. Laser lights and a high energy vibe leave you wondering if you should pray, dance, or a combination of both. The younger crowd seems to dig the music and lights. The older visitors enjoy the building itself, the art, the “churchy” ceiling and windows. Either way, I’ve heard no complaints with this place. Good music, drinks and lots of people to keep you interested.

4. Beta
1909 Blake Street, Denver, CO 80202

Once again, the owners of this club have brought their “A” game and created an atmosphere of top shelf proportions. The crowd varies in age from 21 to 45 and older. This club has great music, friendly staff and sexy people. There is a VIP section for the distinguished guests and top-notch cocktails are fare. Leave your torn jeans and t-shirts for the neighborhood bar; you won’t be allowed in if you’re not dapper-donning it at Beta. There’s always a hot DJ, spinning the latest sounds and dancing girls on the stage. You won’t be disappointed if your night brings you to this hot nightclub in the Rockies!

5. 24K Monarck
1414 Market Street, Denver, CO 80202

Bling, bling is the term that comes to mind when remembering my nights at 24K. This place has a rockin’ dance floor, a drink menu that rivals any I’ve experienced and a staff that catered to my every need. The guys are hot as fire and the girls are high class. Dance to the coolest music and enjoy food, drinks and plenty of partying people. There are several booths for parties of 2 or more. Get there early, the booths fill up quickly.
