4 Reasons Not to Drop Out of High School

Have you been thinking of dropping out of high school? Depending on where you live, this may be more common than not. If you have, you better take in some serious consideration before you decide. Read the following reasons to stay in school and seriously think through each of them.

You Won’t Have Any Memories

Sure, you may have made it through your freshmen or sophomore year already, and even if you didn’t like it, that doesn’t mean there won’t be good memories in the future. There are so many things that I remember from high school that I would love to relive, and there are some that I would never want to. I guarantee you, however, that the good will outweigh the bad. Why would you ever want to take away the chance of there being more good memories? I’d hate to have lost even a single day of high school.

You Won’t See Your Friends

Even if you hate a lot of your classmates, there has to be at least one person that you will truly miss. You’ll hardly ever get to see them! They’ll be in school, studying, probably where you should be. You may get to see them every once in a while, maybe at a football game, but why would you want to show up at a school event even if outside students are allowed it? A lot of people will be pointing and staring, so you won’t be able to have a good time.

You Won’t Have a High School Romance

Most everyone in the nation has had a high school romance at some point in their high school career. Even if he didn’t like you back, the thrill of the butterflies you’d get in your stomach every time you see him is what gave a ton of people reason to get up in the morning. Why would you ever want to miss out on that? It may seem like you won’t meet anyone, and I thought the same thing. Our whole class was only fifty people, and I met someone that I did end up liking my junior year. Don’t think it won’t happen, because it very easily can!

You’ll Have Very Few Job Opportunities

This is the biggest one of them all. If you don’t graduate high school, you’ll never be able to get into a good college, and if you don’t go to a good college, there isn’t many ways for you to make a lot of money. Even if you hate every day of high school, sticking through it for a few more years, and then going to college, will be the best decision you’ve ever made. You’ll change your whole life if you don’t. Plus, you never know what college is going to be like. Some people who hated high school loved college.

There are so many reasons you should stay in high school. It’ll affect your whole life whether you do or don’t. Other than these things, you’ll probably never be able to be truly happy with your life because you’ll never be able to do what you really love in life (unless it’s flipping burgers at a fast food restaurant at minimum wage).
