Taking the majors by storm as a 27 year old rookie, Fiers racked up an impressive 135 strikeouts over just 127 innings pitched, while becoming one of the Brewers most reliable starters in 2012. If the strikeout rate can continue, which based on his minor league track record he has proven his strikeout ability is no fluke, then Fiers could easily become a huge sleeper and steal for fantasy baseball teams in 2013.
Just two years ago, Hanson was considered one of the top young up and coming potentially elite starting pitchers in the majors. Unfortunately nagging injuries limited his effectiveness over his major league career with the Atlanta Braves, so a trade to the Los Angeles Angels for the 2013 season will be an interesting and potentially huge boost to his career. With a talented run scoring offense backing him, Hanson could provide fantasy baseball teams with a sterling stat line in 2013.
Daniel Straily – oak
With a proven successful three year track record through the minors, Straily made his major league debut with the Athletics to finish out the 2012 season. Combining a solid pitching repertoire with strikeout ability, Straily should become a permanent fixture in the Athletics starting rotation during the 2013 season.
