2012 NFL Week 10 Predictions and Picks

It’s time for my 2012 NFL week 10 predictions and picks. The week kicks off on Thursday with Indianapolis at Jacksonville. It’s hard to predict if the Colts can win what could be a tough road game under rookie quarterback Andrew Luck. Based on what they did at Tennessee, I’d say the Colts have an excellent shot. So much so that I’m going with the horseshoes to win going away, 22-13.

The rest of the NFL week 10 schedule kicks off on Sunday. The New York Giants visit Cincy in what could be one of the more interesting games of the week. A.J. Green gets into the endzone just about every week for the Bengals–but that might be the only predictable thing about Cincinnati this year. My gut says the Giants have way too much offense in this one and win 33-24. Eli Manning tosses 3 touchdowns and 2 interceptions in the win.

Tennessee is in Miami to face the Dolphins. The Titans could pick up a big win but I just can’t see that happening here. The Fish win 26-23.

Detroit travels to Minnesota to face the Vikings. Can the Lions win a crucial conference road game? I think Detroit can and will win on the road. Matthew Stafford hooks up with Calvin Johnson for the game winning touchdown in the 4th. Lions escape Minnesota with a 28-21 win.

Buffalo at New England doesn’t look like a great game on paper. Heck, it doesn’t even look like a good game in real life. The Patriots blast the Bills 43-13 thanks to 4 touchdown passes from Tom Brady. Buffalo turns the ball over 5 times in the loss.

Atlanta visits New Orleans for what could be an entertaining showdown. Matt Ryan plays well but the Falcons get knocked off on the road. Drew Brees fires 3 touchdown passes in the 30-27 overtime win.

Tampa Bay hosts San Diego in an interesting week 10 matchup. Which Chargers team will show up? It’s hard to know with San Diego. Tampa Bay is certainly becoming more efficient on offense of late. For that reason, I think the host Bucs win 26-20.

Carolina welcomes Denver. The only problem is that the Broncos might find it too comfortable on the road. Peyton Manning passes for 3 touchdowns and Denver rolls 32-20.

Oakland visits Baltimore elsewhere in the week 10 NFL schedule. The Ravens get 2 touchdown runs and 123 yards from Ray Rice in a 24-13 victory. Oakland turns the ball over 4 times in the loss.

The New York Jets are on the road in Seattle. Call me crazy but I feel a Jets win coming on in week 10. The Seahawks offense never gets on track and New York wins going away 19-16.

Philadelphia entertains Dallas in another week 10 tilt. What are my predictions and picks for this one? You just can’t ask for two teams that are underachieving any more this year. Dallas underwhelms the Eagles in a 27-21 win.

San Francisco hosts St. Louis in what could be a nightmare matchup for the Rams. The 49’ers defense is playing extremely well. The Rams offense isn’t. In fact, my gut tells me the homestanding 49’ers will win this one 33-5. Vernon Davis gets on track with 2 touchdowns in the victory.

Houston is at Chicago in the Sunday night matchup. My 2012 week 10 predictions and picks for this battle? I’ll take the home team to roll. The Bears defense creates 5 turnovers and Chicago wins 30-13. Jay Cutler tosses two touchdown passes in the win.

The Monday night game features Kansas City at Pittsburgh. It’s not exactly the way you’d draw it up if you were planning it now, right? Pittsburgh hasn’t been world beating this year. But Kansas City has certainly been on the opposite end of some beatings. I’ll take the Steelers in a romp 27-9.

That’s it for my 2012 NFL week 10 predictions and picks. I’ll be back for another round of predictions and picks for the week 11 NFL schedule. Until then, enjoy the football games everybody!
