Updated August 25, 2012

1. Trent Richardson – RB – Cleveland Browns

Easily the best running back prospect entering the 2012 NFL draft, Richardson will have the opportunity to be a workhorse from day one in Cleveland. Touchdowns may not be easy to come by in 2012, but Richardson could easily finish as a top 15 fantasy football RB as a rookie in 2012.

2. Robert Griffin III – QB – Washington Redskins

All in all, Griffin will likely post better fantasy football stats as a rookie in 2012 than Andrew Luck. A fantasy ceiling much like the Cam Newton effect in 2011 with less rushing yards is definitely possible for Griffin as a rookie in 2012.

3. Doug Martin – RB – Tampa Bay Buccaneers

4. David Wilson – RB – New York Giants

5. Justin Blackmon – WR – Jacksonville Jaguars

Considered to be the best WR prospect in the 2012 NFL draft, the Jaguars traded up to snag Blackmon, who should be a starter from week 1 in Jacksonville. Unfortunately until the Jaguars have reliable QB play, Blackmon’s stats and fantasy football potential will likely be limited in 2012.

6. Kendall Wright – WR – Tennessee Titans

7. Andrew Luck – QB – Indianapolis Colts

A very intelligent and mature QB who is poised to become one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL in the next 3 years. As a rookie in 2012, Luck could easily post similar stats to what Andy Dalton posted during his rookie season in 2011.

8. Coby Fleener – TE – Indianapolis Colts

9. Alshon Jeffery – WR – Chicago Bears

10. Ronnie Hillman – RB – Denver Broncos

11. Rueben Randle – WR – New York Giants

12. Robert Turbin – RB – Seattle Seahawks

13. Brian Quick – WR – St Louis Rams

14. Michael Floyd – WR – Arizona Cardinals

15. Stephen Hill – WR – New York Jets

16. Russell Wilson – QB – Seattle Seahawks

17. Isaiah Pead – RB – St Louis Rams

18. Josh Gordon – WR – Cleveland Browns

19. Brandon Weeden – QB – Cleveland Browns

20. Lamar Miller – RB – Miami Dolphins

21. Ryan Tannehill – QB – Miami Dolphins

Miami finally got their potential franchise QB, as Tannehill will likely have an opportunity to claim the starting QB job in Miami at some point during his rookie season in 2012. However with the Dolphins lacking firepower in their offense, especially at WR, Tannehill’s stat potential will likely be very limited as a rookie in 2012 even if he takes over as the starter.

22. Keshawn Martin – WR – Houston Texans

23. Mohamed Sanu – WR – Cincinnati Bengals

42. TJ Graham – WR – Buffalo Bills

43. TY Hilton – WR – Indianpolis Colts

44. Chris Givens – WR – St Louis Rams

45. Dan Herron – RB – Cincinnati Bengals

The former Ohio State Buckeye stays in-state and could sneak his way into playing time in the nothing special Bengals backfield.

46. Orson Charles – TE – Cincinnati Bengals

47. Brad Smelley – TE – Cleveland Browns

48. BJ Cunningham – WR – Miami Dolphins

49. Marvin McNutt – WR – Philadelphia Eagles
