The 2010 Oscar nominees have been announced, and Hollywood actors and actresses release a collective sigh.
On the evening of March 7th, Oscar nominees will walk the red carpet into the Kodak Theatre and wait with baited breath to find out if they will be the one to take the golden statute home. But they won’t be so focused on the little gold man that they can’t enjoy this years Oscar treat: two hosts instead of one.
Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin will be co-hosts of the 82nd Annual Awards televised show, and it will be the first time since the 1920s that two people have shared such an honor, according to Oscar.com.
Martin, who hosted the 73rd and 75th Academy Awards shows by himself, is no stranger to the Oscars, having been a presenter numerous times as well. In fact, Martin in addition to hosting the Academy Awards twice before, he also shared the stage with Baldwin’s current co-star, Tina Fey, during the 81st Academy Awards show as a presenter.
Baldwin, on the other hand, might be new as an Oscar host, but he isn’t new to being an Oscar nominee, nominated for the golden statute himself for his performance in The Cooler. So both men can appreciate the nominees that will surround them on such a momentous occasion.
So without further adieu, the 2010 Oscar nominations are (drum roll, please)…
