The Marine came out 2006.Quoted as the year’s most explosive film. With footage so intense you couldn’t see it in theaters. Gives you a whole new tour of duty. Intense action will keep you on the edge of your seat.Hold tight as I walk you through this review.
WWE champion John Cena star as marine John Triton. John is a welcome sight on screen. Not a stranger coming from the world of wrestling.For him to take on a roll in acting wasn’t so far fetched.His co-stars for this film is Kelly Carson from Nip/Tuck and Robert Patrick.
Where ever there is danger ,John Triton is usually there smack -dab right in the middle.This marine doesn’t play by the rules!! After he is unwilling discharged from Iraq,John beautiful wife Kate is kidnapped by merciless jewel thieves led by a vicious killer.Now Triton must fight to save her,utilizing his most powerful weapon– himself!!!
92 minutes of action packed adventure not so true.Although the graphics are out of this world I couldn’t say it was completely action packed.The explosions through out the film were awesome and I would have to say the best part of the movie.Film makers went in to great details to make you feel like you were getting blown up too.
Stars did a super job portraying the story,but the story was not well written.At times the film becomes predicable and a little boring.In the end it gives you a what were they thinking attitude.It seems like half the movie was cut off and left you wondering what happened.
This is one movie that will most likely not have a second.Unrated is what made it stay out of the theaters.I don’t think so.I would say it was the poor writing on the story line.If you are going to sit down and watch this film be prepared for the action and poor story line.
John Cena plays his role well.Great to look at on screen.Kelly Carson played her role of dismal in distress to a superb.Robert Patrick played his evil role as if it was second nature..Movie critic gave this film three stars and I would have to agree with them.The Marine gets 3 stars.
As John Triton attempts to rescue his wife they lead you through a Marines training.John eliminates the jewel thieves one by one using this training.Under handed by one of the thieves John most fight hand to hand.They matched strength to strength but in the end John over powers him with the knowledge that the marines have taught him.
Watch closely the writer put a twist in this story line.Just when John thinks he has found someone to help him the truth be told.He is really one of the bad guys that was double crossed and now seeking revenge and the jewels.So do you think he gets what he wants?Of course not Triton finds a way to make sure he meets his maker.
