Every summer in Fresno, Woodward Park offers Shakespeare in the Park, which is free. However, entrance to Woodward Park is $3.00 per vehicle for Fresno residents and $5.00 for non-residents and you can purchase reserved tickets to Shakespeare in the Park for $10.00, but for a free play, $3.00 for a vehicle is not a bad deal. However, you can walk into Woodward Park if you live near the area and that eliminates the $3.00 or $5.00 per vehicle fee. If you catch what I’m saying. There are also many other local parks that cost nothing to visit, which you can locate at http://www.fresno.gov/Government/DepartmentDirectory/ParksandRecreation/ParksandFacilities/FindAParkByFeature/default.htm.
