Week 3 NFL Predictions and Picks (2010)

Nfl Predictions

Week 3 NFL predictions and picks come from the Week 3 NFL schedule. Week 3 NFL predictions and picks begin with Cowboys vs. Texans, but ends equally well with a Monday night game of Packers vs. Bears. That Dallas vs. Houston game could be a very interesting battle between the powers of Texas, and it could quite easily send the Cowboys to 0-3 on the year if they are not very careful. Houston has been playing lights-out football, and Matt Schaub just threw for 497 yards in their week 2 win. The remarkable offense that the Texans are fielding right now will go up against a Dallas defense that was supposed to carry that team this year.

Then there is Minnesota, who now sits at 0-2 and hosts the Detroit Lions on Sunday. They have got to win this game no matter what, because if the Vikings fall to 0-3 it’s very possible that we could be looking at a coach getting fired. Detroit is still hobbled though, so all the Vikings have to do is feed the ball to the running game, and sit back to enjoy how much he can run on that Lions defense. It might be equally important for the New York Jets to win against the Miami Dolphins on Sunday night football, but these aren’t the same Dolphins from a few years ago, and they are sitting on an impressive 2-0 record to open the 2010 season. They would love to move to 3-0, and try to put a good distance between themselves and the rest of the AFC East.

A game that might slip under the radar is the Atlanta vs. New Orleans game, as the Falcons are looking to try and make a run at the divisional title, but have to get past the Saints first. Both teams are starting to work better on offense, so it could make this one a high-scoring game, but it is also just as likely that they could grind it out with the running game on both sides. All of these games are just placeholders for many football fans though, as the Monday night game pits two of the remaining undefeated teams against each other. The Green Bay vs. Chicago game will be live on ESPN Monday night, and should give fans a really good look at that divisional rivalry. Chicago is playing above their heads right now, but would love nothing more than to serve a knock-out blow to Green Bay this early in the year.
