Ways to Make Your Hair Grow Faster

There is no “miracle treatment” out there to make your hair grow. So if that’s what you’re searching for, just stop! I have listed some techniques that can aid in healthy hair growth and cause less splitting, which will ultimately result in hair that seems to grow faster, longer. Truthfully the key element is caring for you hair.

1.Keep your hair trimmed. I never understood how this could help my hair grow and until I tried it, I thought it was a stupid idea. The problem is when you don’t keep your trimmed you ends start to split and begin to split far up your hair shaft and this causes hair to break off. So instead of avoiding hair trims I would definitely encourage them. Since doing this my hair seems to grow 2x as fast and it looks so much healthier. It would be most ideal to trim hair about half an inch every two month to keep dead ends out of your head

2.Make sure to protect/moisturize your hair. Wear protective styles such as buns and braids to keep the majority of hair unexposed to the elements. If you want to wear your hair down make sure to wear a leave in conditioner to keep hair strong. Also use a good wash out conditioner. I use Pantene Pro-V Moisture Renewal. Using a cheap shampoo won’t be an issue, but always buy a good quality conditioner, even if the cost is higher. You can tell you’ve bought a good condition when your hair feels silky when you’re rinsing it out.

3.Comb with caution! Be very sensitive and careful when combing/brushing your hair. Never brush your hair when it’s wet as hair is more prone to stretching and can more easily break off. Comb hair gently after washing. Once dry, brushing is ok and can actually help to distribute oils throughout your hair that give it that shine.Sleep on a sating pillow or wear a satin head cap. If you roll all over the place in your sleep the head cap would be a better choice. This prevents your hair from drying out as much and I also use it to keep my style if I want to wear it the next day without massive frizz and tangles in the morning

4.Yes eating healthy does make the difference. Make sure you have plenty of fruits and vegetables in your diet so your hair will grow out very healthy.

5.As you should know it’s not a good idea to wash your hair everyday. However, you should still wash your hair at least twice a week. I know a lot of folks say their hair will break off if they do that but you need to keep your hair clean and not clogged up with hair products if you want it to grow. I use to wash my hair only once a week and my hair always looked dry. When I washed my hair everyday it looked even worse. What I have found is the best way to manage this is to only SHAMPOO ONCE a week but Condition every 2-4 days (at least). For Caucasian type hair that gets greasy easily shampooing every other day is fine.

6.Wash your hair in cold water. If you can stand this, it will cause your hair to lay flat and it will be more manageable and cause less breakage

7.Message your scalp frequently. This stimulates your scalp and can aid in hair growthFollow these steps and in no time you’ll be on your way to stronger, longer, healthier hair. Like I stated above, I didn’t believe these methods could work until I put them to use and saw the results. My hair is longer and less fried and dried then it ever was.
