Water Spray Parks in Bakersfield California #1: Wayside Park

Wayside Water Spray Park is located at Ming Avenue and El Toro Street 93304. They are open 10 AM to 7 PM. Their water park has interactive toys including a water cannon that can be pointed in a certain direction as it shoots out water. Jefferson Park truly has it all. Not only do they have a water spray park but they have a swimming pool (with a separate area for smaller kids), playground and even an amphitheatre. The Water Spray park also has interactive toys where children (and even adults too) can have fun with their water play. The water park stays open as long as it’s hot (until October). Water Spray Parks in Bakersfield California #3: Martin Luther King Jr. Park

The Water Spray Park at Martin Luther King Jr. Park opened in 2005 and still continues to draw in people from all over Bakersfield today. This water park has a theme which is “Bob the Bullfrog.” Kids love to play with a statue of “Bob” that watches over them. There is also “Wally the Whale,” “Bubbles,” “Cattail,” the dumping bucket which fills up with water and dumps water on whoever is standing there (one of MY kids favorites!). Kids can even enjoy playing in the water from 10 AM and during dusk hours (until 7 PM) as there is lighting that comes on over the water area. Planz Park is located at Planz and South H Street 93304.You can cool off during the hours of 10 AM to 7 PM. Their water park has water toys that kids can really get involved with such as three water cannons that will get you soaked if you’re in the thirty feet range. There is also a bucket trio (can you guess correctly which one will get YOU soaked?), a water tunnel, rooster tails, donut and ground gusher, all of which will keep you cool while you’re out in the summer sun. Beale Park is another favorite spray park with kids who live in the area between their open hours of 10 AM to 7 PM. Jastro Park is located in downtown Bakersfield on Truxtun Avenue 93301. The water park is easily visible and once you are on Truxtun, you should have no trouble finding the water area when you reach the park. Jastro has several water toys that are also interactive such as a water cannon that you can shoot towards someone, rings that continuously spray water, buckets that drop water, even one that looks like part of a boat. It is right next to the bathrooms and in the evening, lights are lit to show the way for your kids to play. The park also has tennis and basketball courts.
