The Water Spray Park at Martin Luther King Jr. Park opened in 2005 and still continues to draw in people from all over Bakersfield today. This water park has a theme which is “Bob the Bullfrog.” Kids love to play with a statue of “Bob” that watches over them. There is also “Wally the Whale,” “Bubbles,” “Cattail,” the dumping bucket which fills up with water and dumps water on whoever is standing there (one of MY kids favorites!). Their water park has water toys that kids can really get involved with such as three water cannons that will get you soaked if you’re in the thirty feet range. The water park is easily visible and once you are on Truxtun, you should have no trouble finding the water area when you reach the park.
