Vaseline Intensive Care Nightly Renewal Light Body Lotion – Your Answer to Great Skin All Over

Body Moisturizer, Grapeseed, Grapeseed Oil, Shaving Bumps, Strivectin

Vaseline Intensive Care Nightly Renewal Light Body Lotion is a fantastic, low cost all-over body moisturizer. With grape seed extract, lavender, and a variety of vitamins (including the skin-renewing vitamin A – the active ingredient in Retin-A) and skin nourishing oils like Sunflower Oil, it is everything you need for all-over soft, glowing skin. It’s great formulation in combination with the light, fresh scent makes this my favorite body moisturizer in any price range. It retails at drugstore.com for $3.99 for 200ml. There is also a 20 oz pump size available.

The lotion absorbs almost instantly, but packs the moisturizing punch of a heavy body butter. It leaves your skin moisturized but dry – never goopy or sticky. While it is marketed as a night lotion, I wear it everyday, and it doesn’t transfer (grease or scent) to clothing, and it keeps working all day.

This lotion is amazing for all sorts of skin maladies – it dramatically lightened and smoothed a stretch mark, one that didn’t even respond to Strivectin. It gets rid of post-shaving bumps and soothes razor burns on the legs. It makes cellulite seem non-existent. All of that, and it makes your skin positively glow. If you put it on at night, you’ll wake up wondering how your skin got so soft before you remember you applied this amazing lotion.

It makes for a great hand cream as well – if you want soft, young, supple hands, simply apply this lotion after each time you wash your hands – it isn’t heavy enough to get your hands greasy, and it has the moisturizing power of a much heavier cream. On the subject of using this lotion on your hands (or feet), if you use gel-lined gloves or socks like the one’s from Bath and Body Works or Blissworld, it will renew the grapeseed oil that is infused in the gel – so you can keep using your gloves longer.

Supposedly it is lavender scented, however, I really dislike the smell of lavender and I love the smell of this. To me, it is closer to a combination of grapeseed oil (kind of that high-priced lotion scent) and cucumbers. Regardless of your personal scent preferences, the fragrance is so light that it doesn’t particularly matter. In fact, I’m rather allergic to fragrance in lotions, but this has never bothered me, even on the highest pollen-count day. If you prefer a stronger scent or would like a great, functional lotion as a complimentary layer to your perfume, this lotion would make a great base for essential or fragrance oils.

On the whole, you can’t go wrong for the price. I have tried many a cream, lotion, and gel ranging from drugstore brands to Neiman Marcus brands, and Vaseline Intensive Care Nightly Renewal Body Lotion is hands down the best body moisturizer there is. If you’re looking for soft, youthful, glowing skin regardless of your age or the state of your skin, look no further.
