Shopstyle.com is a fashion friendly social website that helps chic women save money and keep up with current trends. Here are some tips on how to get the most out of this website.
Shopping 101
Use shopstyle to, of course, shop. Browse by clothing, bags, shoes, kids, home, men or beauty. You can also refine by brand, store, sale or price. The best thing is that the styles are from multiple stores so you have all the best fashion on one site.
Once you find an item you like, roll the mouse over the picture and it will give you an item description, available sizes and price. If you are interested in purchasing the item, it will give you an option to be forwarded to the item’s website. If the item is too expensive, add it to a wish list and ask for a sale alert.
Sale Alerts
This is my favorite part about the website. It allows a shopper to pick clothing and be emailed every time the item is reduced. There are several ways to do this. One you can pick specific item. For instance, I like the brand Splendid and I am looking for dresses. Thus, I would type in Splendid dresses. After browsing through the dresses, I might find one I like. I then click on the item and choose Sale Alert. After typing in my email, I simply press okay. When the item goes on sale, I am emailed. This is great because you can get those more expensive items you like for less. Also, you don’t have to worry about rechecking the website and risk the item going out of stock.
You can also pick sale alerts by brand. Simply go to the checklist and add the brands you want to be emailed about when they go on sale.
Promotions
Save money with the promotion pages. There are several pages of shipping and discount offers to help cut down your checkout bill. For some of the promotions, you will have to enter a code at checkout.
My Brands
If you are someone who sticks with the same brands, you can customize your shopping experience by choosing only the brands you want to shop. Pick from popular brands or all brands simply by checking the box next to the name of the style. If you find a brand you like while browsing, simply click on the add sign to include it with your favorite brands

Style Notes is a great place to go if you want the hottest styles right at your fingertips. For instance, currently there are all the tips for great summer style. From sandals, to bathing suits and summer hats, Shopstyle delivers some great looks. When you find a style you like, you can email the style to a friend, share it on Facebook, Twitter or blog using the ShopStyle widget. You can also create an account and comment on the item.
Social Networking
Tap into other’s styles by joining or starting a group to swap style ideas with others who share your fashion sense or add friends from their stylebook pages. You’ll have to create an account to do this.
