Miracle Whip was developed in 1933 by Kraft. It came about during the depression because mayonnaise was then considered to be a luxury. So Kraft came up with the idea of combining some of the features of mayonnaise with a boiled dressing to create Miracle Whip.

It was presented at the Chicago World’s Fair in 1933, and from that moment on, it became so popular that it ended up being the best selling salad dressing in the United States.

Use To Remove Chewing Gum
If you’re ever unfortunate enough to get chewing gum in your hair or your child’s hair, just apply some miracle whip and it will loosen the gum so you can remove it.

Use To Remove Rings
Sometimes rings get stuck on your finger, just rub a little miracle whip on the finger and twist the ring off.

Use Miracle Whip As A Facial
Apply Miracle Whip to your face and leave it on for about 30 minutes before rinsing it off with warm water, followed by a cool water rinse. This will moisturize your face.

Use To Polish Metals
Rub some Miracle Whip onto the metal objects you’re polishing. Let them stand for 20 or 30 minutes before wiping off with warm water and drying with a soft cloth.

Use Miracle Whip On Minor Burns
If you don’t have anything else to apply to a minor burn or cut, just apply a little Miracle Whip to the area., and after leaving it on for a few minutes you can wipe it off.

Use It On Tar
To remove tar, just rub a teaspoon full into the tar then you can wipe it off.

Use To Exfoliate
Rub some Miracle Whip onto your knees, heels or elbows. Let it sit for a few minutes before rubbing the areas with your fingers. This will remove all dead skin from those areas.

Use On Your Hair
You can use ½ cup of Miracle Whip on your hair every week. Let it sit for about 30 minutes, then rinse it out, then shampoo.

Use On Your Furniture
If you happen to have white rings or spots on your furniture, just wipe a little Miracle Whip on them, let it sit for about 1 hour, then wipe it off with a soft cloth.

Use On Sunburns
Spreading a little Miracle Whip over your sunburn will soothe the pain. It is also good for wind burns.

Use Miracle Whip For Head Lice
Apply Miracle Whip to your scalp and the roots of your hair. Apply it to the edges in front, the sides and the back. Place a plastic hair bag over your hair and leave it on for 1 hour. Rinse the Miracle Whip from your hair using a comb and warm water. Then wash your hair twice to remove all the residue from the Miracle Whip. You can also add a few drops of peppermint oil into your shampoo. Repeat this procedure every 10 days.

Miracle Whip contains soybean oil, water, vinegar, sugar, egg yolks, starch, salt, mustard flour,
food starch-modified, spice, paprika and natural flavor, but even with all these ingredients, it still has 30 % less calories and fat than mayonnaise. Something else you may be interested in knowing is that in 1991, enough Miracle Whip was sold that 3.8 billion helpings of potato salad could have been made.
