Ultimate Brownie Maker Review

Brownies

If you love brownies and would like to make the brownie baking process even easier than it already is, the Ultimate Brownie Maker by Bella is a good way to do it.

This small countertop appliance is relatively easy to use (there is a slight learning curve), and creates perfectly shaped, perfectly sized, and perfectly cut brownies in less than 10 minutes.

The Ultimate Brownie Maker heats up and is ready to bake your brownies in about two minutes; a green ready to cook light lets you know it’s time to start cooking, and the machine does most of the rest of the work for you.

After you’ve mixed your batter, simply put it, in spoonfuls, into the eight-section insert, close the lid, and in about eight minutes, you can lift the insert to reveal your brownies, fully cooked and ready to be cooled and eaten.

Because the Ultimate Brownie Maker makes only eight brownies at a time, you’ll have a second batch to make (most box mixes make approximately 16 brownies depending on brownie size). It doesn’t take much to do your second batch: simply regrease the insert and start the process again.

As an only occasional baker, in the past when I attempted to bake brownies, they seldom came out right: the middle wasn’t fully cooked when the edges were done, and I couldn’t seem to figure out how to get the whole batch done at the same time. Additionally, perhaps I was too impatient and cut the brownies too soon, but I seemed to always rip them to shreds. That’s the reason I was given this machine as a gift.

The Ultimate Brownie Maker resolves both of those issues for me. In the batches of brownies I’ve made with it so far (once I figured out how to work it), my brownies are perfectly cooked, and because they’re baked individually, there’s no cutting (or shredding, in my case) involved.

There are several things I love about this machine: that it heats up and cooks so quickly; that it cooks all of my brownies; and that I don’t have to cut the brownies. I also love that the instruction book also has a selection of brownie recipes, although whether I’m brave enough to try them is questionable.

Perhaps I’m still learning all the ins and outs of brownie making, but there are still a couple things I haven’t perfected, though they are relatively minor. I haven’t yet been able to get the insert out cleanly: some of my brownies stay in the insert when I lift it off the cooker, while others stay on the cooker, and no matter how much oil or non-stick spray I use, there’s a lot of cooked brownie on the insert.

I also end up with a little bit of extra batter-not enough for another eight brownies, usually two or three, and the instructions say not to bake less than eight brownies at a time.

But these are minor considerations, and haven’t prevented me from successfully-and happily-using the Ultimate Brownie Maker. I give this product and big yes, and a huge thank you for allowing me to indulge myself with one of my favorite foods.
