Boy Bands, Wedding Songs

There are several top wedding songs out today, some new, some unusual, and many classics. Some of the classics would include “Can’t Help Falling In Love” by Elvis Presley, “The Way You Look Tonight” by Frank Sinatra, “What A Wonderful World” by Louis Armstrong, “I Can Love you Like That” by John M. Montgomery, “Everything I Do (I Do For You)” by Bryan Adams, and no one could forget “Endless Love” sung by Diana Ross and Lionel Richie. These songs are great for that wonderful first dance as husband and wife, popular choices of the classic love songs. These will set the mood, more than likely quieting everyone around to view the couple dance with big smiles and possibly even a couple tears. And for all the Journey lovers out there the top choice from them would be “faithfully” of course. This song is also a popular choice, and we all love Journey.

If you are wanting more of a girly song, there’s always “The Power Of Love” by Celine Dion, “I’ll Be There” by Mariah Carey, and “From This Moment On” by Shania Twain. When choosing a female song love song just try to avoid the current train wrecks all over the media such as Britney Spears and Paris Hilton (yes she made a record), it may send the wrong message. If you are a boy band junkie try to head toward the more classic boy bands such as The Beatles, or even a little newer like “On Bended Knee” by Boyz II Men. Also the former boy bands that are dying out and are a tad bit cheesy such as Backstreet Boys and N’sync are not the best of choices.

You can also be more original and unique by choosing a more rare or edgy song. My husband and I chose our first song as husband and wife to be “Time Of Your Life” by Green Day. Our song as a couple is “Iris” by The GooGoo Dolls, and excellent love choice. There are many fun, upbeat, rocking songs that are not your typical wedding song. Rock With You” by Michael Jackson, “Don’t Worry ‘Bout a Thing” by Stevie Wonder, and even a song rocking out about weddings with Billy Idol’s “White Wedding.

The more modern day popular yet original weddings songs like “Beautiful Day” by U2, “Let’s Stay Together” by Al Green are the perfect song to celebrate your love for each other. If you really want to be upbeat about it, “Hey Ya!” by OutKast is a great hit among the younger crowd, bound to get them moving. Along with another uplifting dance song “Close To Me” by The Cure. You can find many amazing rocking wedding songs today. One of the more rare but personal favorites of mine that I would like to see more often at weddings would be “Johnny B. Goode” by Chuck Berry, as we all know from Back to The Future, this song will be accepted by all crowds and ages, air guitars may bust out as well.

There are many other great popular love classics out there like “Can I Have This Dance?” by Ann Murray, “I Cross My Heart” by George Strait, “When You Say Nothing At All” by Allison Krauss, “Here And Now” by Luther Vandross, “When A Man Loves A Woman” sung by either Percy Sledge or Michael Bolton, and “All My Life” Linda Ronstadt & Aaron Neville. There are so many choices for a wedding song the best thing is to both choose the right one that fits you both as a couple. Choosing your song should be a team effort of something you both like and reminds you of each other, choosing the song together will also make it more meaningful.
