Finding that special music for your special day is fairly easy. You can either book a band and hope someone doesn’t get sick and they can’t come, or you can book a DJ and you know that only death will stop them from making it to your wedding.
One of the first DJ services that I came up with is A Solid Gold Sound. The website for them is www.asolidgoldsound.com. They have a catchy web page, with lots of information on it. The price for their services is $695 if you do not get them from the web, $595 if you contact them through the website. Then if you fill in your information and request more information or request a brochure, you get an additional $100 off. So you will in fact end up with paying only $495 for 4 hours of music. And can you get four hours of music from them without repeats? With seventeen pages of songs ranging from old country to the new stuff, including Miley Sirus, Billy Ray Sirus, Chubby Checker, songs from Grease featuring John Travolta and Olivia Newton John. They have songs ranging from pop to disco, country and rock. They even have polka and line dancing, square dancing, rap, and so many choices available.
The next DJ service that I have is Dance With Me Productions and can be found on the web at www.dancewithmeproductions.com. They feature music from as early as the 1940’s big band era to current hits. He does not currently have any Saturday evening openings, but still has many Friday and Sunday’s available. There is an event schedule on his page where you can look to see if he is available on a particular day. He not only DJ’s, he also is a dance instructor, and dance lessons are included in his wedding package of $695 for four hours. His music list is extensive, but is not as large as A Solid Gold Sound, but he covers more of the older music.
One of the nicest put together sites I visited was Ron Ruth Wedding Entertainment. The web site, www.mykansascitydj.com, plays music and shows slides of the wedding receptions that they were at. It is very nice, although in order to get information on pricing, you need to fill out a form and submit it. A phone number to call is given, 816-224-4487, and an email address also is listed, [email protected].
A very common name in DJ services in this area is DJ Andy J. You can find him on the web at www.kansascityweddingdj.com. Andy is another that does not list his price on his page. He is an excellent choice for DJ services and does many functions other than weddings. He has a huge extensive music catalog and can play other music cds if you have something else in mind. I have heard him before, and he does a very professional job. He Is located in Lee’s Summit, Missouri and services Kansas City and surrounding areas. For the last of the DJ services for weddings, is Professional Sound Services. You can find them at www.dj2k.com. They offer an alternative to having a DJ, they will also rent equipment to set up and leave for you to start for only $250 for 24 hours. For full DJ services, they charge only $495 for six hours. They have been in business since 1987, and have an extensive library of music to choose from. They also offer services for parties, schools and other functions.
If I was going to get remarried and needed a DJ service, I would have a hard time choosing, but my top choice would be DJ Andy J.
