A lot of people listen to Avenged Sevenfold because they like the music and the guitar solos. But i have been wondering if they know what the songs are saying and what they are meaning. I am hear to tell you there top 5 best songs and why i believe they are the best.
Lets start with my 5th favorite, i think it would have to be “Chapter four”. This is a song about cane and able, and it pretty much tells their whole story and how it was made to be as it is. It also has a meaning of how they got their name avenged sevenfold, if you read chapter for “the Genesis” from the bible it says their name in the chapter. I did not realize this at first, but then i looked for at and surly enough it was there.
My next favorite song would have to be ” sidewinder”. This song talks about how his world has changed from being a average person to a person who is loved by tons of fans. He also mentions in this song that here on the stage his life is getting harder. Not in those words of course, but he hints at that fact.
My number 3 would have to be “unholy confessions”. This song talks about a girl who don’t want to loose her guy. I believe this song is one of there most popular, because Zachy V. the guitarist expresses the vocals so much in how he plays in it.
The song i have for my second favorite is “M.I.A” , just so you all know i have yet to find out what M.I.A means. This song however, is a song about leaving a place that he loves and fighting for it, as in being in the army. Read this and you will see what i mean…”Fight for honor, fight for your life. Pray to god that our side is right. You know we won but still we lose, until I make it home to you.
I see your mother still in tears we grew up so fast where did those years go. Memories wont let you cry unless I don’t return tonight.” I believe these lyrics are one of the best of all time, because I’m fighting for my country and i can relate to this.
The song i believe has the best meaning is “seize the day”. Now i think that “M.I.A” comes close, but this song wow. Read these lyrics and then i will tell you what the song and video mean…”Seize the day or die regretting the time you lost It’s empty and cold without you here, too many people to ache over.

This song shows that he has done a lot of bad things and he just wants time to stop so he can see his upcoming baby. But he gets cought doing a robbery and gets put in prison. He was not really wanting to go this last time, but his buddies influenced him on going. Read this part of the song to know how he feels to never see his wife or baby again…”So, what if I never hold you, yeah, or kiss your lips again? Woooaaah, so I never want to leave you and the memories for us to see, I beg don’t leave me.”
