Many people who color their hair would certainly appreciate a more natural way to do so without using all sorts of chemicals so. Unfortunately there are not yet a lot of natural hair colors available at this time. There are however some available and most of them are Henna based. Most of them however are manufactured and sold out side of the United States, but thank goodness for the internet because if there is an organic hair dye you would like to try you can order it on line and have it shipped here. I have picked out the top 5 organic hair colors. These would all be wonderful summer choices, and the Henna will be further activated by the sun’s rays. I have tried a couple of them and have included a short review on my experience with them. This is more difficult to get in the United States so I have not personally tried it, but I have heard fantastic things about this product.

My Personal Review: Worked better than other Henna products to cover my few grays. Does not work as well as traditional hair coloring, but did cover grays. It lasted about 2 weeks before grays began to show through. Color began to fade after about 3 weeks.

My Quick Review: I tried this one, unfortunately they did not have my exact shade so I tried the burgundy. It add a slight dark red tint to my hair. It covered the grays, but the grays began to appear again after only 3 washings. I don’t have a lot of grays, but the few I have are quite stubborn.
Nature Color
The unique emollient herbal base adds sheen and softness to the hair. They use a micronized plant pigment color base and it comes in 31 different colors. This can be used and covers hair just by combing it through your hair. It is very gentle and a perfect choice for those who are sensitive to chemicals. You can not lighten your color with this hair coloring but you can darken it. This product also seems to be safe to use during pregnancy, but you should discuss it with your doctor before using it. Unlike the Surya Henna this product is more of a permanent hair coloring and can stain, but will last longer.
Do not use this on top of a Henna coloring, make sure the Henna is completely out of your hair before using this product.

I have personally not tried this one yet, but I do plan on it. They seem to have a much larger range of colors than most of the other natural hair dyes. After I give it a try I will do a separate review on it.
