Top 5 Jeans to Flatter a Flat Butt

If you have a flat butt, some jeans just seem to make your back end look worse. Many women with this problem find it quite difficult to find the right pair of jeans. Contrary to popular belief, wearing extremely tight pants is not a solution. In fact, it may even intensify the appearance of a flat butt by squishing. However, there are a few types of jeans on the market that are perfect for women with a flat butt.

One of my personal favorites when it comes to jeans are the lower rise. Note, I said lower rise. Due to the cut of this particular jean, it adds an illusion of a butt. Depending on how comfortable you are with the rise, Levi’s 513 super low rise bootcut jeans are quite flattering for many women. These jeans can be purchased at a variety of department stores and are cost friendly. If you don’t want to spend $70 on a pair of jeans, this is your best bet.

Jeans with a little stretch, such as Lycra is another great option for women with a flat butt. The buyer should beware though. The amount of stretch varies with the brand and some may be uncomfortable. If opting for this, consider buying jeans a half size smaller than usual unless these are skinny jeans. Make sure to try the pants on before purchasing because some shrinking after washing is almost always a given.

Women with a flat butt should also check out jeans on the market especially tailored for their body type. Victoria’s Secret and Newport News for example, carry a line of jeans that help create the illusion of a fuller figured bottom. Newport News typically sells this jean from their catalog and online. The VS Uplift jean is available online, in the catalog, and at some of their many stores.

The best jeans for a flat butt also consist of those without back pockets or with smaller back pockets. Normal to large back pockets in jeans will only emphasize the lack of a derrière. Women that are larger or short in stature may find that this type of pants may not work as well for them.

Opposite of the low rise jeans, those with a flat butt can also benefit from the high waisted jeans on the market. Not only are these becoming quite popular but they can be worn by most women, regardless of size or shape. These jeans also tend to add a lift to the butt which can work wonders.

If you are one of the many women that have a flat butt, there are a few things that you should probably avoid when it comes to jeans. Steering clear of the infamous boyfriend jean and slouchy pants should be a priority, as these aren’t very flattering for those with a flat butt. The key however, is finding what works best for your entire body type. One’s wardrobe should not be based around this only feature.
