Top 10 Trendiest Celebrity Haircuts

Celebrity Hair, Pixie Haircut

Celebrity hair has always fascinated us, even when we were little girls. Playing dress-up and playing with wigs was always one of the most fun things we could do. Of course it takes a while before you understand that behind every celebrity haircut is a team of professionals, but that doesn’t stop us from wanting that celebrity hair.

At the risk of screaming my age from the roof-tops, my first requested celebrity haircut was the “Dorothy Hamill” haircut (who, incidentally, still has absolutely fabulous hair). These days celebrities change their hairstyles as often as they change husbands, so it’s sometimes difficult to keep up.

Here is a quick list of the latest trend in celebrity haircuts:

1.) Victoria Beckham

Victoria always has been on the list of the top trendiest celebrity haircuts, and she always will be. This is because she sets the trends herself, with her gutsy cuts and sassy styles. If you have the feautures for it (namely a body and face like Victoria Beckham’s), then her short, layered look with cropped bangs will be your celebrity haircut of choice.

2.) Lisa Rinna

Lisa Rinna is another one of those who is perpetually on the list of top celebrity haircuts, which is amazing since she has had the same medium-length layered haircut for 15 years. It’s short and shaggy and she wears it in any number of styles and colors, though she usually wears it textured and spikey with lots of bold highlights.

3.) Katie Holmes

Katie’s classic bob hairstyle has been a popular choice for a couple of years now as well. Once she cut off her long hair and went for the bob, her haircut has become hugely popular and often requested at the salon. I like how she doesn’t always wear it the traditional way but instead often texturizes it and leaves it a bit messy.

4.) Nora Zehetner

Nora’s pixie haircut is perfect to highlight her pixie features. She wears it wavy and a bit long over her forehead, and parts it on the side. She likes to tuck it behind her ears but leave some long strands just in front. She also likes to sometimes pull the bangs over and use a pin to hold them back.

5.) Winona Ryder

Winona’s short cut is a razored crop, and she wears it with a choppy fringe to frame her face. She also tucks it behind her ears and leaves some long strands in front, but her bangs are kept a little shorter than Nora’s.

6.) Tiffany Fallon

Of all the variations on the bob, I love the new trend towards no bangs. It’s very refreshing. Tiffany wears her bob very smooth and sleek, unlike most celebrities who seem to love the textured look. The finished look ends up being very updated and polished.

7.) Kellie Pickler

Kellie’s layered medium-length bob is another take on the classic. She has a few layers cut in at chin-length to frame her face, and she wears it straight or sometimes puts in some waves and pulls it back from her face with a headband. To change things up, she also sometimes wears it parted very far to one side and flips the hair over, which creates an asymetrical look that’s very popular right now.

8.) Kimberly Caldwell

Kimberly’s popular shag cut has put her on the latest cover of Short Hair magazine that’s in stores now. This cut is a blast from the 70’s, but with a modern touch. Having a combination of long layers and short layers gives the hair personality and makes it possible to have your hair look different every time you style it. It will never look the same no matter how hard you try. So, if you like the idea of that type of versatility and daily drama, the shag is the cut for you.

9.) Ashley Greene

If we’re talking trends here, I can’t go without mentioning Ashley Greene. The Twilight star’s spikey A-line bob is quite a hit with the Twilight fans, and is likely a popular request at salons across the nation. The girls will ask for the cut, and I expect lots of experimenting with product is done at home in an effort to duplicate the style.

10.) Kate Gosselin

Kate may not yet be in the hair magazines, but my prediction is that she will be soon, especially now that she has a talk show starting. If you ignore the drama of her hit reality-tv series and just focus on her hair, you can see why I think she’ll be the next Big Thing in terms of trend-setting hairstyles. Her asymetricall bob/punk cut is currently all the rage among moms (and simply fans) everywhere. She wears it really long on one side, tucked behind the ear on the other, and keeps the back super-short and spikey. Now that’s hair with attitude, to say the least. She gives advice to all those who aspire to have her haircut: “Don’t try it unless you have really, really thick hair, or it won’t work.” How’s that for cutting to the chase, ladies?
