It is that time of year when kids are getting geared up for the prom. Kids are trying to think outside-the-box for themes that will make their prom unlike any other. Dancing With the Stars Prom
A Dancing with the Stars prom will truly be remembered. Six to ten couples should compete, and everybody else will vote. Have the prom committee run a couple’s lottery for those who want to participate. Two to three weeks before prom couples will be chosen. Choose three chaperones for the judges. Place a metallic tablecloth on a long table. This will be the judge’s table. Place a chalkboard beside the table to keep track of the scores. Use ping pong paddles for the score paddles, and sticky note pads to write the couple’s score. Stick the score on the paddle. When the dances are done, everybody at the prom votes for their favorite couple. The award will be a mini disco ball glued to a piece of wood. A DJ will work best for this prom theme. The prom destination should be decorated with strobe lights, disco balls and glittery accessories. Prom attire should be glamorous gowns and tuxedos.
An Oscar night prom theme will make everybody feel like a million bucks. Place a red carpet at the entrance of the prom destination. For a humorous touch, have someone doing interviews before the couples enter the prom. Also, have someone taking pictures as each couple arrives. Glamorous gowns and tuxedos should be the attire. Awards should be given out for best gown, class clown, prom queen and king, etc.

Prom couples: get ready to show your talent. Prom attire can be casual or dressy for a karaoke prom. Have a stage setup with lights and stars hanging from the ceiling. A DJ would work best for a karaoke prom. Give trophies out for the best act and for the runners up. Have a photographer on-hand to take pictures of the winners.

Jungle Prom
Girls and guys get ready to take a walk on the wild side. Attire for a jungle prom theme should be leopard or some sort of animal print, or wear a animal print accessory on your outfit. Decorate the prom destination with plants and trees. For a touch of whimsy, place rope swings and stuffed animals on and throughout the trees.
