Three Best Bars in Orlando, FL

Michelob Ultra, Orlando Fl

If you’re looking for a fun to place to grab a drink, have fun on a Saturday night, or celebrate, then check out these three highly recommended places. These three bars are located in the heart of downtown Orlando. Garage parking is recommended, since it is located in a city. Never fear, these bars are all in walking distance from one another or just a short, bicycle taxi distance away.

Ember. One of the more newer bars in town, this place is usually packed. There is a cover charge between $5-$10 on certain nights. This bar is trendy with a modern Mediterranean feel. Dancing isn’t their forte, but if you’re looking for a good place to people watch or follow a sports game on one of their multiple television sets, this chill place would be it. There is an indoor bar with air conditioning or if you like the outdoor scenery, they have a big patio with three bars to accommodate all drinking ages. They also offer limited food such as small plates, flat breads, and appetizers. A great late night “hot spot” on the weekends. During the weekdays and for “Happy Hour,” they offer drink specials. For example, on “Wednesday Winesday,” for $20 you can drink unlimited wine with a choice of an appetizer or select flat breads. They also have “After Dark” specials which include deals on alcohol varieties such as: Michelob Ultra, Yuengling, and Van Gogh vodkas. Hours: Mon to Sat- 11 am to 2 am. Sunday from 4 pm to 2 am Address: 42 W Central Blvd. Orlando, FL 32801. Phone:(407) 849-5200. For more information, please visit their website at www.emberorlando.com.

Wall Street Plaza. Central downtown “hot spot” featuring eight bars, very distinct from one another, that are sure to offer something for everyone. On Friday and Saturday nights, the entire block usually shuts down for band acts or for special events like Halloween, St. Patty’s Day, Cinco de Mayo, etc. Prices for block party nights are five dollars and up. Each bar offers food and drink specials ranging in different ethnic favors such as Mexican food, Sushi, etc. Be sure to check it out during “Happy Hour” to hit specials on food and drinks. One of my personal favorites is the Tiki Bar. They offer live music and great appetizer and tropical drink specials on Friday nights. It is has a laid-back, very “Hawaiian” atmosphere. Or, if you love the “island feel” but want something more trendy, head upstairs to the Monkey Bar for a refreshing martini. Plaza Address: 19 North Orange Avenue, Orlando. Phone: (407) 420-1515. Latitude’s. This bar is located on Church Street and is also surrounded by other bars in the area. It is very convenient if you plan on bar hopping. The unique thing about this bar, it’s on the rooftop of third story builidng that houses other bars. It is an outdoor venue that overlooks the city of Orlando. This bar is also made for dancing or if you just want to “sing-a-long” to good ol’ music tunes There is a cover charge of $5 however, you will also get access to the other two other bars in the building. Address: 33 West Church Street Orlando, FL 32801-3301. Phone: (407) 649-4270.
