Things You Can Do with Duncan Hines’ Brownie Mix

Brownie Mix, Cheese Cake, Duncan Hines, Philadelphia Cream Cheese

I’m a firm believer in serving good food, and not serving it the same way twice. My family loves my baking, but they like me to think of new things, or make old favorites with a twist. I love my family, and they are all I have, so I try to show my love through my cooking and baking. Every week at church we have a dinner, and everyone brings something. Sometimes I bring a main dish, and other times I make a desert. Well last week I wanted to make something decadent but different:

Warning! This recipe is for serious chocolate lovers only!

Duncan Hines Brownies with a Twist – S’more Chocolate Chip Brownie Pie

Here is what you need:

Duncan Hines Brownie mix (prepare as directed)
½ cup pecans
¼ cup chocolate chips

Make a pie crust from 1 ½ cups of crushed cinnamon graham crackers
6 Tablespoons butter or margarine melted

Mix the butter with the graham crackers to make the curst and line a large pie plate. Now prepare the Duncan Hines Brownie Mix and add in ½ cup pecans, and fold in chocolate chips. Pour the brownie mixture into the pie crust and bake at 325 degrees for 40 to 45 minutes. When the brownie pie is done cover it with marshmallows and pop the pie in the oven on broil just long enough for the marshmallows to melt and turn golden brown.

I like to cook from a box, but I like people to think I worked hard all day making something special for them. What I make tastes great and doesn’t taste like it came from a box!

This is what you need:

Duncan Hines Brownie Mix
½ cup pecans
½ cup chocolate chips

3 packages Philadelphia Cream Cheese softened
1 can of Carnation Sweetened Condensed Milk
3 eggs
3 teaspoons vanilla flavoring

Prepare the brownies as directed, but with slightly less moisture for chewy brownies. Fold in pecans and then place brownie mixture in a Pyrex baking dish. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 – 35 minutes or until half done; and then set it aside to cool.

Now in a large mixing bowl add the cream cheese, gradually add condensed milk while using the electric mixer. Add the eggs one at a time and then add the vanilla flavoring. When it is all well incorporated; fold in the chocolate chips. Now pour the cheese mixture over the half-done brownie. Bake at 300 degrees for 45 to 50 minutes or until the center is springs back when touched.

If you love cheese cake this wonderful!

Enjoy!
