The Top 5 NASCAR Race Tracks

Best Race Tracks, Race Track

Zoom…Zoom. Many people just love watching NASCAR races (NASCAR, www.nascar.com), and they love seeing the cars zoom super fast to the finish line. However, some car race tracks are better than others. Some have better records, some have better history, some have better seating, and some have better tailgate parties. These are my top 5 NASCAR race tracks:

1. Bristol Motor Speedway
151 Speedway Blvd.
Bristol, TN 37620
(423) 746-1161

Bristol Motor Speedway is one of my favorite NASCAR race tracks. I love that it is in the heart of the mountains. It has an oval shape race track that is .533 miles long. This makes it a short race track. It seats 160,000 people. It was finished being built in 1961. It holds a lot of records. The race record for the Sprint Cup Race Record is Charlie Glotzbach with 101.074 on July 11, 1971. The race record for the Nationwide Race Record is Brad Keselowski with 93.509 on August 22, 2008. The race record for Truck Race Record is Travis Kvapil with 88.813 on August 20, 2003. It is one of the best race tracks for holding records.

2. Charlotte – Lowes Motor Speedway
5555 Concord Parkway S.
Concord, NC 28027

My heart will always be with Charlotte because I loved living there, and there is nothing better than Charlotte NASCAR fans. They even have a mall close to the Lowes Motor Speedway racetrack called Concord Mills Mall that has a huge section just geared for NASCAR fans. If you truly love NASCAR then this is the place for you to go see a race. It was built in 1959. It has a D-shaped oval race track that is 1.5 miles long. This makes it an intermediate race track. It seats 165,000 people. It holds a lot of records. The race record for Sprint Cup 600 Mile Race is Bobby Labonte with 151.952 on May 28, 1995. The race record for Sprint Cup 500 Mile Race is Jeff Gordon with 160.306 on October 10, 1999. The race record for National Race Record is Mark Martin with 155.996 on May 25, 2006. The race record for the Truck Race Record is Kyle Busch with 124.845 on May 19, 2006. It is one of the best race tracks for holding records, and it is known for its super fun tailgating parties.

I like Talladega Superspeedway because of the history it has had. Dale Earnhardt is one of my favorite NASCAR racers of all time, and he posted 10 Cup wins at Talladega Superspeedway. It was completed in 1969. It has a quad-oval race track that is 1.5 miles long. This makes it a superspeedway race track. It seats 143,231 people. It holds a couple of records. The race record for Sprint Cup Race Record is Mark Martin with 188.354 on May 10, 1997. The race record for Nationwide Race Record is Mark Martin 168.937 on April 26, 1997.
