The Global Orphan Project’s Big Event

Saturday, September 17th the Midland Theatre will hosting 6th annual Big Event for The Global Orphan Project based here in the Kansas City metro area. The Global Orphan Project “is a global orphan care ministry headquartered in Kansas City, Missouri. GO Project mobilizes local churches in some of the poorest areas on earth to care for the neediest orphaned and vulnerable children in their communities; children of last resort with no viable means of care. A vibrant, viral network of global givers fuels the growth of this grassroots movement for orphans.”

What started in the basement of founders Mike and Beth Fox in 2005 has skyrocketed to one of the premier events in Kansas City for the fall season. The night is promised to be filled with “music, hors d’oeuvres, dessert and life-changing stories. Experience the heart of Third World orphan care without leaving Kansas City.”

In addition to the food, attendees will have an opportunity to participate in a Q & A with the actual ministry partners of The Global Orphan Project. This is an excellent opportunity to enjoy a night out on the town, support a local organization, and most importantly make a positive impact on the needy children of the world. Last year GO Project took 700 people to Haiti to share the love and compassion that is so readily given from the Kansas City community. If you are interested in making a trip to spend quality time with love starved children, learn how at www.theglobalorphanproject.org

Kansas City’s greatest attribute is the giving hearts of the faithful because of their unquenchable desire to help those in need. Here is a need, let’s fill it with an unconditional love we can so freely give.
