The Facts About Getting the Free Cell Phone You Really Want

Free Cell Phone

Do you want a free “Blackberry”? A free “BlackJack”? A free “Pink” with iTunes? A free “Razr”?

You can get these easily if you know how to find them online and “game’ the cell phone companies!

But the odds are that unless you know how and where to see all your options, you’ll end up getting whatever the local cell phone store happens to have on hand or the phone(s) the company happens to be “pushing” that day. (They sell what they’re told you know – whether it’s convenient for you or not.) If you’re going to pay for a monthly service plan though, you might as well take an additional 15 minutes to see if the killer phone you’d really like is available.

What you see being promoted on television or the internet isn’t always at your local store. And, as you know, the cell phone store you go to will only represent one cellular carrier. You might see a phone you like on TV or the net but not remember the carrier. Walk into the storefront of a different carrier, and you can be sure they’ll steer you to whatever they have on hand!

By now you’re probably saying “OK, I’ll just search online”. If you thought that, you’re partly right, but you can still try to buy online and end up not getting the phone you’d really like!

For seeing the most options for great free phones from the most carriers and the most plans in your area, you DO need to search online but you need to know how to “game” the cell phone search tool!

I’ll walk you through the results of a typical internet search for a “free cell phone” and show you what to do to get the best deal for you in your area.

At the resource link below I’ve placed a fairly typical search result for cell phones or “free cell phones”. You can open it up in a new window here to see what I’m talking about.

Unfortunately just “landing here” won’t guarantee that you get the free cell phone you’re looking for!

Once you get there, you’re asked to enter your zip code.

That’s not being nosey, it’s just finding the carriers who actually provide service in your area.

So far so good.

Here’s what to look for now.

When you type in your zip code and hit “go”, you will get what is a fairly good plan and popular phone based on the available plans in your zip code. And it’s important to have this tool. Not all phones and carriers are available in all areas. And the “best” result for your zip code can literally change daily I’ve found!

Now, here’s how to find out if the cell phone your heart desires is available for free or a minimal price after rebate!

The secret is to not stop here, but to view all your options. That’s where most people give up in frustration and take the first thing offered or nothing at all.

By checking the page, on the left hand navigation bar you’ll see a link you need to click in a minute. It’s in fairly small print (for a purpose!) under the logo of the carrier they’re present as the best overall deail. That link says “select another carrier”. It’s not that they want to hide the other carriers but they really just want people to make a decision and buy what they suggest the first time.

It’s your phone though, so see all your options. But wait – click this in a minute after seeing all the phones from this first carrier. What most people don’t know is that any carrier shown usually offers many other free phones in your area. To see them, scan down on the left hand navigation bar and you’ll see another link called “more phones”.

Click that link (most people never do) and you’ll see literally dozens of new phones in a pop up window. That’s where you can find free “Blackberry’s”, free BlackJack’s, free “Treo’s”, free “Pink’s” – lots of free phones. There are also some that will not cost too much after a rebate. And you have the assurance that these phones will work with that particular carrier in your area instead of you going out and buying your own phone only to find out your carrier doesn’t support it or doesn’t support it in your service area!

To absolutely wear yourself out finding the free cell phone you really want if you haven’t found it already, you can go back to the “select another carrier link” and then click on the link there for “more phones”. The number of free cell phones most people pass up is mind boggling!

Follow these simple steps and you will find more cell phones than you would have by any other method! I’ve never found a physical store location with this many free phones and definitely never found a customer service rep willing to show them all to me!

I’ve showed you how to game this particular page. It’s possible you may find a page that’s configured differently.

The same principles will apply – just search for “more phones” and then check all the “other carriers”. If those links aren’t there, or the site you went to has only a fiew choices, I’d keep checking. You don’t know what you might be missing!

Whatever the actual format of the search page, by diligently using links such as “select another carrier” and “more phones” and “gaming” the page, your chances of finding the free cell phone you really want will increase 200% to 300%!

Happy free cell phone hunting!
