I haven’t been fortunate enough yet to have my own private pool. But if I had one you’d better believe that I’d make sure I had all the coolest pool toys on hand at all times. And because I’m somewhat of a casual drinker, I would imagine that having access to my favorite libations close by is an added bonus of owning one’s very own pool.
But since I realize that there are plenty of people in this world with their very own mini-vacation locales in their backyards, I thought it be nice to know what the latest and greatest swimming pool “attraction” seems to be: The AquaPub. Costing around $1400, the Aquapub’s price sounds a bit extravagant. But considering the many uses for this really neat contraption, it’s really not that big of a deal. What is the Aquapub?
Quite simply this device, developed by Custom Design, Inc. is the answer to one of summertime’s many conundrums: Who’s going to get out of the pool to go for more ice/beer/snacks/etc…? The Aquapub swim-up bar for the home solves this problem. It’s essentially a pool accessory which serves as a floating bar for your swimming pool.
Why All Swimming Pool Owners Should Have One…
- It’s fun to “ride” on-Imagine having a floating table and chairs on which to read, snack, and consume your favorite alcoholic beverages. Simply put, the concept of a floating bar in your own swimming pool is a novel idea.
- Can be used in and out of water-Yes, this pool toy can be used on land as well. The Aquapub’s frame stands approximately 32.5 inches from the ground, with the seats rising about half that distance. However, the ground’s surface should be flat, for the unit to anchor properly.
