1. Your main clothing should be selected in shades of different colours, and gray, brown or black are the most appropriate colors. A combination of tight corpselike top, or dress with a full skirt and bustle, as well as puffed-out sleeves is the best for women, while a button-down shirt with a tie, vest, and pants or shorts is a good option for men.
2. It is important to consider a proper steampunk style when adding it to your shoes. In the steampunk tradition both men and women are allowed to use tall, lace-up boots.
3. The Wright Brothers should be channeled in your goggle selection, and it is not advisable to go to the swimming store during this period. The best options are large, full-faced goggles that mimic an aviator style, but you can make some with fabric glued to science-lab goggles if you are not able to find the best options.

Gears are very important since they are the height of steampunk style, and belong outside your clothing just as much as inside your pocket watch, so ensure you bring them.Inorder to pull out the gears easily, you need to break up an old watch or clock.
