The 5 Easiest Ways to Purchase Tickets to Minnesota Twins Games

Metrodome, Scalping

Say what you will about the Metrodome, but there is one really nice thing about it. If you want to get Minnesota Twins tickets, your odds are pretty good. There are only a handful of parks in MLB with a higher seating capacity. However, if you are looking to land good seats, here are five avenues you can you pursue.

1. Minnesota Twins Ticket Office at the Metrodome

This is as easy as it gets folks. If you are going to the game, you are going to need to get to the Dome anyway. There are 4 Minnesota Twins ticket offices around the Metrodome (Gates B, F, H and on the side of the dome under gate G). Stop at one, tell them where you want to sit (or how much you are looking to spend, or you can just ask for ‘best available’) and you will Minnesota Twins tickets in hand in less than a minute. If you arrive at the ticket office less than an hour before the game begins, expect to wait in line for 5-10 minutes. On Wednesdays (Dollar Dog and College Student nights) expect to wait 15-25 minutes.

2. Twins Pro Shops

If you enjoy the simplicity of dealing with a real live person and making a real live purchase, the Twins Pro Shops are your next best bet. They are set up with the same computers the main ticket offices use, and offer all of the same options you get when buying Minnesota Twins tickets at the dome, but in a more relaxed atmosphere that is often more convenient. The Twins have Pro Shops in Minnetonka, Roseville and Apple Valley.

3. 1-800-33-TWINS (1-800-338-9467) – or 612-33-TWINS Locally

Call the fine people at the Minnesota Twins ticket office and they will help you out with all of your Twins Ticket needs. All the same options as above. Have a credit card ready and expect to pick your tickets up at the will call booth (all of the ticket booths mentioned previously can print your will call tickets.)

4. twinsbaseball.com

This is the method that I have started to use the most. Go to twinsbaseball.com, click on tickets, and then you can go through and pick the area you would like to sit in (or best available). You will then click on how many tickets you want and submit your request. The site will give you 2-3 options in your selected price range. The tickets will be held for 90 seconds. If you choose to purchase a set of tickets, just click on the button next to them to finish your purchase. If you do not want any of the offered seats, click back and select a different area. This method is quick, easy and convenient, and even allows you to print your tickets at home so you don’t need to deal with picking them up at will call.

5. Scalping

Let’s face it, if you want really really good seats, they may not be available for purchase through any of the previously mentioned methods. Scalping is now legal in the state of Minnesota, and is a great way to pick up some really good Minnesota Twins tickets. I’ve purchased tickets this way a few times when I decided to catch a game at the last minute, and it has worked out really well every time. Shop around! Don’t feel pressured to buy seats just because you talk to someone. If you walk around the dome one time, you will bump into over 50 people selling Minnesota Twins tickets. Ask them where the seats are and what they want for them. If you like it, great. If not, move along. You can score really good deals if you purchase the tickets right before the game is set to begin.
