Summer’s Top Websites for Free Los Angeles Events

The city of Los Angeles is filled with events that infuse art, culture, and entertainment. Now that Summer is here, check out the list of the best websites for free Los Angeles Events.

California African American Museum

CAAM offers exhibits, films, and musical entertainment all year round. This summer CAAM teams up with Target, for Target Sundays, a once-a-month event of engaging artist. In addition, every Thursday, you can check out a free film, brought to you by Films @ CAAM. CAAM also hosts special themed events; including their Fourth of July Celebration, which is also free to the public.

Levitt Pavilion Pasadena

This free concert series includes a Kids Zone, and a variety of Latin, Jazz, Rock, and Classical music throughout the week. They host 50 free concerts, with performances from, Van Hunt, Ernie Watts Quartet, Sierra Leone Refugee All Stars, Bei Ru, to the USC Jazz Quintet. The concert series runs through 8/26/12. Downtown Independent

Located in Little Tokyo, The Downtown Independent is a contemporary one-screen movie house that premieres independent films and holds special events. Upcoming events include a sneak preview of Adult Swim’s animated series “Black Dynamite,” and the Downtown Film Festival.
