Overnight Camp, Space Camp

A world of new adventures and beginnings awaits your child just 45 minutes away from Orlando Florida. This is the ultimate experience for children fascinated by ideas of space ships and what lies beyond the stars. NASA Camp at Kennedy Space Center offers an incredible space camp for children between the ages of 8 to 14 years.

Give your child the opportunity to experience a full week of space flight simulators as they perform an actual Space Shuttle mission. During their stay at camp they will enjoy the thrill NASA astronauts feel on their missions into space. Children will participate in team-based activities as they enter the realm of space travel. They will even go so far as to design space vehicles for explorations, and habitats to be explored. Most importantly, and most like the memory that will carry them through a lifetime, is the fact that they will meet a real astronaut while at Space Camp KSC.

There will be ten different sessions for summer 2007 space camp. Qualified, and specially trained certified educators lead Camp KSC. If your child has a special need, simply call Kennedy Space Center ahead of time so that they can prepare for your child’s arrival. In addition to summer space camp, should you have a youth group interested in an overnight adventure Kennedy Space Centers offers an overnight space camp adventure.

During this overnight visit, the children will meet an Astronaut, and enjoy the “Great Rocket Scavenger Hunt,” which is led by NASA instructors. The overnight camp includes a pizza dinner, a midnight snack, and breakfast. Children that are in the 2nd through 9th grades at the time of the camp are welcomed to attend. Please note the minimum size for groups for the Overnight Adventure is a group of 10.
