Southpark Mall in Richmond, Virginia

Dillard's, Richmond Virginia, Shopping for Kids

While recently traveling in the Richmond Virginia area my wife and I happened upon Southpark Mall. Southpark Mall is just a ways down interstate 95, south of Richmond international Airport. Southpark Mall has a number of interesting things folks should be aware of. Whenever you’re traveling in an area which is unfamiliar to you or particularly if you’re new to the Colonial Heights Virginia area you want to know where you can go to get things and do things. On this front Southpark Mall is definitely well-equipped. With four flagship stores; JCPenney, Macy’s, Sears, and Dillards; as well as a 16 screen Regal Cinemas Stadium Movie Theatre; Southpark Mall could be the place you go for so much when you’re living in the Richmond area.

One of the things that people often go to the mall for is for shopping for kids clothes; while back-to-school shopping may be a ways off, kids do need leisurewear and other more relaxed clothing so that they can go out and play and get themselves dirty all summer long. And before you know it those leaves will start to turn golden orange so you should know where to go. If you don’t find anything you would like for your kids at any of the flagship stores there are children’s stores like the Children’s Place; as well as places where you can get clothing for your kids like PacSun, Aeropostale, and American Eagle Outfitters.

If you’re shopping for men’s apparel there are a number of fine upstanding places for men to go in the Southpark Mall and walk out well turned out. Jimmy Jazz, Lim’s Men’s Wear, and Suit City for business; MW Tux has all the formal wear your man could ever need; particularly if it’s in a pinch.

For women’s shopping at the Southpark Mall there are a number of favorites like New York & Co., Ashley Stewart, Victoria’s Secret, Bath and Body Works, Clare’s, and Rave; just to name a few. Also women who love shoes can go to Shoe City, The Shoe Department, Underground Station, or Payless Shoe Source in a pinch.

Once you have all gotten everything you need in terms of things to wear at Southpark Mall, there are a ton of other things to do also. The young kids can go play games at places like Game Stop, Laser Force Laser Tag, or Tilt; the teens can go hang out at Dairy Queen or the Coffee Beanery; mom can go get her nails done at Wax and Nails or get her hair done and the Haircuttery and dad can go by mom some jewelry at Reeds Jewelers or Whitehall Company Jewelers or Zale’s Jewelers.

At the end of the day it’s important to know where to go in your town and when you are living in or around the Richmond Virginia area it’s always a good idea to have a place you can get away like Southpark Mall in nearby Colonial Heights!
