Soccer Leagues for Kids in Lubbock, Texas

Indoor Soccer, Lubbock

Youth sports help children develop teamwork skills, improve their confidence, and build friendships. It provides great exercise and promotes physical and cognitive growth. And, it’s fun!

If you live in the Lubbock area, and your child wants to play soccer, there are many options available. Here are a few soccer leagues for kids in Lubbock.

Upward

One fantastic league is Upward Sports. This program has leagues all over the country, and two soccer leagues are in the Lubbock area. One is organized through Southcrest Baptist Church, and a second is through First Baptist in Wolfforth. They have just one hour of practice and one game per week. All families are encouraged to join. As of 2012, Upward soccer is only offered in the fall. For more details, and to sign up, visit the Upward website here.

Lubbock Soccer Association

A second fabulous option is the Lubbock Soccer Association. It is probably the most popular league in Lubbock. Children can play in both the Spring and Fall. They do not keep score, and teams may practice up to twice per week. Games are always held on Saturdays.

They even offer a “Tiny Tots” league for children under 4. The mission is “To teach, train, motivate and inspire a love of soccer through a nurturing, supportive and non-competitive environment”. Visit the website here for full details on how to sign your child up.

Lubbock Church Athletic Association

A third choice is LCAA. They are non-competitive and fun. They usually offer indoor soccer in the fall, and outdoor soccer in late Spring. Sometimes they will offer indoor soccer in the winter as well. Teams will usually not practice during the week. (However, the first 3 sessions are practice times.) Visit the LCAA website here for more details on this soccer league in Lubbock. LCAA will allow friends to sign up together.
