Last Christmas marked the release of a ton of merchandise for Disney’s popular TV movie High School Musical and with the release of the sequel this past August many companies are releasing High School Musical 2 products just in time for the holidays. There is so much merchandise though; it may be hard to choose, so here is a guide to the best High School Musical (HSM) toys to buy this holiday.
HSM Rockin’ Musical Microphone: HSM is all about singing and fans of the movie will love singing along to a couple of the hit songs. The wireless microphone features the songs Start of Something New and Breaking Free from the first High School Musical movie. Singers can even choose not to play the music and sing on their own.
HSM Dancerella Dance Studio: While you are singing one of the hit songs, you can dance along to it, DDR (Dance Dance Revolution) style with the High School Musical Danceerella Dance Studio. He dance mat features a bunch of different scenes from the movie and comes with a singing head set and mini basketballs to replicate the song “Get Your Head in the Game.” It also comes with a dance along DVD that will give kids great exercise and hours of fun.
HSM Dolls: Most of the High School Musical fans are pre-teen females, so what better toy for them than a doll. A lot of the characters have been reproduced into Barbie style figures and one of the most popular is the Troy and Gabriella two pack. They are dressed in the same clothes as their final performance in the first High School Musical movie and would be a great mix with other Barbies or characters from the movie. The High School Musical 2 series was also just released with all of the most popular characters dressed from that movie.
HSM Country Club Cruiser and Country Club Pool: If your children do not want to use their old Barbie house for their new High School Musical figures than they can get the new sets specifically made for HSM dolls. The first set is the Country Club Cruiser, basically a decorated mini-golf cart seen in the movie High School Musical 2. It also comes with a Sharpay doll and mini golf clubs. The other set is bigger Country Club Pool. This set comes with a Gabriella lifeguard doll, sun umbrella, and a pool you can even fill up with water. Both are very nice that go well with all of the dolls.
High School Musical 2 DVD: If all of the products above do not satisfy your child’s High School Musical craving then maybe the new DVD released on December 11th will. It is an extended cut of High School Musical 2 and will keep your child glued to the screen for hours.
High School Musical 3 will be released sometime next year, and for next Christmas there will certainly be more a lot more products, but for now this is the best that High School Musical products have to offer.
