SanDisk Sansa Fuze 4GB – Pink: A Review

Sansa

Many die hard Apple fans will continue to use their beloved iPods until the day that they die, unfortunately for the rest of us there are far better choices that retail for far less of a price. SanDisk has made a career out of undercutting Apple with a better quality portable music player, and they have done it once again with the SanDisk Sansa Fuze 4GB – Pink.

This colorful little MP3 Player has a vibrant beautiful screen, simplistic controls, and a boat load of space for storing your favorite files. I was fortunate enough to purchase one of these recently and I have been very pleased, everything from the upload speeds to the customer service is extraordinary with SanDisk and I’ll definitely be purchasing another Sansa Fuze in the future.

Right off the bat many people will notice how radically different the Sansa Fuze is from the Apple iPod, instead of trying to be just like the iPod the Sansa Fuze has it’s own unique identity, and that is what I love about it. The Sansa Fuze has many innovative features that I enjoy such as a FM Digital Radio, Voice Recorder, and ample storage space. The color of the Sansa Fuze is vibrant to say the least, the glossy pink finish is sure to put a smile on anyone’s face, let alone a teenager.

Needless to say the Sansa Fuze has adequate storage space, how much you ask? Well, the Fuze can comfortably store 2000 pictures and 1000 songs, or if you are into movies you can store 12 hours of video. Battery life is also exceptional providing 24 hours audio playback and 5 hours video playback thanks to an internal rechargeable battery. Naturally some people will have more then 1000 songs, and if that is the case SanDisk has included a microSD/microSDHC slot for additional content expansion.

Video playback is exceptional for such a small device, while watching a full featured movie the screen doesn’t blur and it is exceptionally clear. I was able to convert two full length DVD movies and watch them using the Sansa Fuze, this was not only cool but it also displayed the full power that the little Fuze has to bring to the table.

Sound quality is also a strong point for the Sansa Fuze, as the included ear buds are much better then those available with the Apple iPod, and they are made of better quality materials. If you wish you can also attach the Sansa Fuze to a pair of external speakers, the quality then is even greater and I enjoy listening to my music out loud more then ever.

SanDisk has included everything that you’ll need to use your Fuze, including a USB 2.0 cable, instruction manual, and ear buds. There is no need for a driver CD as the Fuze is plug-and-play, which means that you can begin using it immediately.

I really like the SanDisk Sansa Fuze 4GB – Pink, this little device is spunky and more then equipped to rival any offering from Apple. The price is affordable enough for even the smallest budget and the features are exceptional so if you want a new portable media play look no further then the SanDisk Sansa Fuze.
