I first fell in love with Daisy Fuentes designer fragrances when I first got my hands on a bottle of Dianoches.
This weekend I ran into a new scent added to her collection; called So Luxurious. I of course was interested in seeing what this perfume had to offer.
It came in a gorgeous bottle which reminds me of a slim mirror ball, only because it has the same cut. The bottle itself is clear, so you are easily able to look inside and see how much perfume you have left.
The bottle supposedly in inspired by a favorite ring of Daisy’s. I still see a mirror ball…but whatever.
Unfortunately the tester bottle for some idiotic reason was behind the locked glass case, so I had no clue what it smelled like. Usually I don’t do this, but I ended up buying the perfume without smelling it. The store was just too busy to go and get an employee to bring out the tester. So Luxurious was out on the counter to buy, and the tester in the glass case. Go figure.
The bottle was priced at $49.95, but I had a $10.00 gift card, so it felt like I was getting somewhat of a deal. Sort of, kind of…maybe.
The Scent:
I felt bad opening the box, but lucky for me, So Luxurious does not come with the annoying shrink wrap nearly all perfume comes with, so I was able to easily flap open the box to test it. (You see, I was going to give the perfume to my mom for Christmas. Before I did that though, I wanted to test it for myself).
I squirt some of the perfume on to my shirt collar and on to my wrists. The smell was gorgeous. It was like warm summer honeysuckle. It smelled like a huge honeysuckle bush was right there in the living room. I liked it. I knew she would like it…. and then…
just as I began to enjoy the perfume, I stopped enjoying it only because it had no other undertones. The perfume was pure honeysuckle. It was still a lovely, gorgeous smell…but it also smelled 100% like honeysuckle burning oil. You know those small viles of oil you use in incense oil burners?! Yep…that is exactly what it smelled like.
I have the exact oil, and So Luxurious smelled exactly like it. I felt pissed knowing I had just spent $39.00 on perfume, that smells exactly like oil that I could of bought for $3.00.

So Luxurious lasts all day and into the next if you spray it on clothing.
Overall:
I love the scent, but I am very disappointed in the lack of any other scent. The perfume claims it has other things in it when it comes to scent…but honest to God you only smell honeysuckle. If you like honeysuckle, you can get the same exact results by dabbing your wrists with some honeysuckle burning oil.
There is no other way to put it… I feel jipped. I spent $39.00 on honeysuckle oil. I would not of felt so sour about my purchase if the perfume had some sort of undertone. It has none though. It is 100% honeysuckle oil in water and alcohol. Grrrr.
