Review of the Funny Bone Comedy Club and Restaurant in Dayton, Ohio

Parallel Parking

I recently needed a night out on the town, so my husband and I made the trip to the Funny Bone Comedy Club and Restaurant in Dayton, Ohio. We anticipated a night of laughter and good food. Here is my personal review.

Parking was not as good as we had expected. The lot just outside of the Funny Bone was completely packed. Cars were circling around and exiting. At one point, we were afraid we would miss the show because we had nowhere to park. Finally, we found a place to park our truck. If you don’t mind parallel parking, you will only have to park a block away or so. The area has parking meters, but as I understand, these are only for use during the day. We popped some change in just to be on the safe side.

Upon entering the building, we were delighted to learn that the shows were non-smoking according to new legislation in Ohio. We did travel up some stairs to find our seats in the showroom, but an elevator is available.

The staff at the Funny Bone Comedy Club and Restaurant was very polite and professional. They were especially courteous to my special needs with the guide dog. They made particular effort to ensure plenty of room for my guide despite my need for special arrangements.

My husband and I were seated near the stage for a great show. We found the seating to be slightly cramped. The tables were somewhat smaller than we would have preferred. Especially if eating an entire meal during the show, you may want to space out, if possible, for more elbow room.

The menu did not have prices for each item. I was personally bothered by this since I am a person who sticks to a budget. Overlooking this aspect, we chose an appetizer and drink each. These items took care of our minimum for the evening. Sharing the two appetizers was a terrific idea. The portions were large. I highly recommend the potato skins and nachos with all the fixings.

It took a bit for the beverages to make there way to us, and the food was a tiny wait, but considering the crowd, we were not disappointed. I would recommend arriving extra early to get settled and ordered prior to the show.

The comedians were terrific. The content was adult and not for children, but mature individuals will leave laughing and talking about the experience for the days to come.
The tickets were $15 each plus the two item minimum per person. All in all, the two of us spent about $50, but it would have been easy to rack up a larger bill with alcoholic beverages and a full meal.

For a night out on the town, visiting the Funny Bone Comedy Club and Restaurant is a fun idea. Get a group together from work or for ladies’ night out. The Funny Bone Comedy Club is an A rated establishment
