Review of Neutrogena Rainbath Shower Gel

Neutrogena

Years ago I was introduced to Neutrogena Rainbath Shower Gel when my husband and I stayed at a five star hotel. The hotel staff made sure we had a fresh supply of toiletries every day, and among them was this Neutrogena shower gel. I was so impressed with the way it smelled and how well it cleaned that I came home and purchased a large 32 ounce pump bottle to keep in my shower, and I am still using it to this day.

I have tried numerous shower gels along the way, but Neutrogena is still my all time favorite! So many products have a floral scent, and being allergic to many flowers, I don’t really enjoy using them. Neutrogena Rainbath does NOT smell flowery. In fact, it’s hard to describe the scent. If you are from the 70’s era, you probably remember a very popular scent called musk. Rainbath reminds me of musk, but it’s a lighter scent than even that odor. It is truly one of a kind, and I have not experienced anything like it from any other company.

When I shower with Rainbath, it leaves my body feeling super clean and very moisturized. Aside from that, it also leaves no residue, which means it washes off very easily and leaves no soap scum on my shower walls and doors. I hate cleaning soap scum! The liquid is a thick amber color, and makes an abundant amount of suds, with or without a nylon scrubbie. That’s my preferred method, but it works equally well on a wash cloth, or just onto my wet hands.

Rainbath is a very versatile shower gel. Since it is so thick, it can easily be poured under running water and used as a bubble bath. I also use it as a shaving gel when I am in the bathtub or shower.

There have been numerous times when people have asked me what perfume I was wearing, when in actuality I hadn’t used any! They were smelling the wonderful, clean scent of the Neutrogena Rainbath! It really is a refreshing treat to use this product! It will continue to be a staple in my shower. Other scents and brands will come and go, but I know that Rainbath will always be one of my favorites.

This large pump container is expensive, costing around $30.00. It does come in small sizes, such as 16 ounce and 8.5 ounces, but since I use it so much, I spend the extra and get the largest size available. Considering what I pay, it does seem to be a luxury item, but one that I am willing to purchase because it is well worth it. Believe me, there aren’t many shower gels that I would spend $30 on! It’s a great product, give it a try one of these days!
