Review of AOL Radio Featuring XM

AOL, One Hit Wonders, XM Radio

Everyone loves music, some even say it’s what makes the world go round, but sometimes it’s really hard to find something you like on the radio, but AOL and XM satellite radio have teamed up to bring amazing music to anyone with a computer. AOL’s XM radio station is available for free via the internet and comes equipped with over 200 channels of free non-stop music, 24 hours a day seven days a week!

AOL radio is a free service offered through AOLradio.com and features XM radio as well. This combined package is offered for free and is available to users even if they don’t subscribe to AOL as an internet service provider. Channels are offered in categories like Hip Hop, Rap, Classical, Electronic, Pop, Rock, and many more. There is something for everyone with AOL radio.

Some of the more interesting channels include Japanese Pop, Anime Radio, Video Game Scores, and one hit wonders. These channels show just how diverse AOL radio really is featuring music for any person in any mood at any time of day, and every station is very easy to find because they are all grouped by subcategory. One minuet you could be listening to a remixed version of Kelly Clarkson’s newest song and the next you’re listening to the orchestrated version of the Halo theme, the possibilities are endless.

Even if you’re not really wanting to listen to music at the moment there are a wide variety of talk shows and comedy channels available as well. Also News and sports stations are also included on AOL radio. While you work at your desk in the office you can have a few laughs, or get the latest up to date news information, or listen to the big game as you work late. All of this with only minor commercial interruption. Once in a blue moon you may hear a 30 second advertisement for Esurance or Geico but that’s it, then it’s right back to the music, or talk channels you have selected.

AOL radio is easy to get on your computer, all you have to do is go to their main site at AOLradio.com and click on the “Listen Now button”, then depending on your computer’s individual settings you may have to download a small bit of software then it’s right onto the music. The software download is minuscule so don’t worry about losing hard drive space with this, and does not require any further attention after it is installed once. Overall it’s the quickest and stress free download I have ever run across.

So if you love music and have a computer at the office or at home I would highly suggest and recommend AOL radio featuring XM. There is so much music and talk that you’re sure to find something enjoyable for any occasion, which is more then can be said for regular FM radio, and one of the best thing is the lack of commercials. All of this for the greatest price anyone could offer… Free!
