Renuzit Crystal Elements

Chanel No. 5, Master Bath, Reed Diffusers, Renuzit

I love girlie smelly things. This is my husband’s interpretation of my buying behavior when it comes to room fresheners and scented candles. Of course, with my cats, scented candles are impossible to enjoy, so I must always be on the look out for alternative ways to keep my home smelling nice without endangering my kitties.

I have tried everything. Plug ins, rug powders and deodorizers, room sprays, stick ups, solids, potpourri, tart warmers, and the new reed diffusers. Usually, to no avail. I occasionally had some luck with the candle warmers, however, having completely melted candles around cats is worse than having lit candles around cats. There’s always a mess to clean up or a problem to remedy.

Recently I happened upon a coupon (buy one get one free) for the new Renuzit scent offering, Crystal Elements. As I said, I’m always on the lookout for something that works, so I headed to my local store to get them.

These are large pieces of congealed scents that do resemble large crystals. A package of refills comes two to a package, and they can be placed in any glass dish or bowl you have on hand. The original package has a sturdy glass container that resembles a high-ball glass, with 9 oz. of the crystals.

I tried the Vanilla, and I bought the Rain Forest refills. I immediately put the Vanilla crystals into the glass they were packaged with, and placed it in my guest bath. I then headed to the kitchen to start dinner. Within ten minutes I could actually smell these vanilla crystals as I stood in my kitchen! My kitchen is a good 20 fee down a hallway, not close at all to where I had placed these vanilla crystals.

Two hours later, my entire home smelled like vanilla! I couldn’t believe it! Even my husband commented. And he notices nothing like this! (I used to use Chanel No. 5 perfume, but he can’t tell the difference between that and Vanilla Fields from CVS, so I stopped wasting my money.)

I asked what he smelled, because he had commented, “Wow. What’s that?” This was a big deal for him! And for me, too! I finally found something that worked!

I immediately opened a refill package of the Rain Forest scent and placed it in a glass bowl in my master bath. Again, within only a few minutes, that aroma wafted through that end of the house. I actually found one of my cats on my counter near the newly placed container, rolling around and purring, obviously enjoying the scent herself.

These crystals promise 45 days of scent, and at a reasonable $5.99 for either the original package with a glass container, or the refill with two 9 oz. packages, it’s certainly well worth the money. I used to have Glade Plug Ins all over the house at the cost of $3.99 each, every 30 days, for about 15. It took me a year to figure out I wasting my money.

With these Crystal Elements I think I’ll be ahead of the game! I only need two containers at $5.99 each every 45 days to provide delectable, and safe, room freshening aromas throughout my entire home.
