Transforming existing plane clear glass kitchen cabinet doors into stained glass works of art is an easy craft project. Needless to say this simple craft project can really add some value to a plain and colorless kitchen.

If you do not have glass in your kitchen cabinets you can easily have them installed. Cut out the middle of the door. Install you glass from behind using mirror clips. Proceed with the rest of these steps.
To Transformed Your Clear Glass Kitchen Cabinets into Stained Glass Kitchen Cabinets You Will Need:
Stained Glass Paint
Black Marker
Peel and Stick lead
Paper
Pencil
Tape
To start this craft project you need to decide on a pattern. Your stained glass Kitchen Cabinets pattern will determine what stained glass paint colors you need to buy as well as how much lead you need.
Measure the Kitchen Cabinets you are going to transform. Mark this space out on a piece of drawing paper and sketch out your design. If you have markers I suggest coloring in areas the colors you would like them to be. The more specific you are in the planning the less room for mistakes.
Once you have established your stained glass design you need to transfer it to your Kitchen Cabinets. I like to tape the sketch to the back of the Kitchen Cabinets so that it shows through the front. You can fill in just like a coloring book!
Painting the stained glass Kitchen Cabinets is the next step. Use a natural bristle artist paintbrush to fill in your colors. Work up to the edges in each block of color. You will be covering the rough edges with peel and stick lead, so you don’t have to make them absolutely perfect.
Once your stained glass Kitchen Cabinets is completely painted you need to let it dry complete. While your paint is drying your can work on your lead.
Remove the sketch from the back of the Kitchen Cabinets and use this to cut out your lead.
Once all of your peel and stick lead is cut out you need to attach it. The lead in-between real stained glass can be black or silver.
Simply peel the back off of the peel and stick lead. Press it into place on the front of the Kitchen Cabinets. You want it to be on the front because otherwise you won’t be able to see it.
I like to clean the front of the platter with some ammonia before I paint or stick on the lead.
Press each piece of lead on fully using your finger tips. You will want to let these dry or cure for about 24 hours.
Now, you are finished!
