Every one has seen the famous books “For Dummies”. Now you can type what you want the book cover to say and add it to your MySpace profile. I think this is a cool little toy that you can add to your MySpace profile. In this tutorial I will show you how to create the For Dummies book cover and how to add it to MySpace.
Step One – Load the Generator Page for the Book Cover
The first step is to load the generator page for the book cover. This page can be found here. If the link does not work, please copy the link from the bottom of this page and paste it into a new tab or browser.
Step Two – Fill in the Information
Step two is to fill in the information that you want to appear on the book. You will see the different fields that you can fill in. The first field is the Header Text. This is the text that will appear at the very top of the book. The next field is the Title Text. This would be the title of the book. The next field is the text that you go in the bubble right below the title of the book. The last field is where you enter the Author of the book. These books are made to be funny, so don’t be afraid to go out there with these book covers.
You can also change the size of the book cover. To me it is too big at the original size. You can shrink it down some but if you shrink it too much you will not be able to read the book cover. If you want to shrink the book cover down some, move the bar beside Scale Size. Once you have the book customized the way that you want it, click the Copy button above the code.
Step Three – Adding the Book Cover to MySpace
The last step is adding the For Dummies Book Cover to your MySpace profile. Go to your MySpace profile and login to your account. On your account page you will see the Edit Profile link. This link can be found right next to your default photo. Click the link and you will be carried to the Edit Profile page. On this page you will see the different sections that are on your MySpace page. Paste the code in one of the boxes. Click the Preview Profile button to see a preview of how it will look. To save the changes, click the Save All Changes button.
You may not be able to paste the code to the left side of your MySpace profile if the book cover is large. It will probably throw your page off. So you may need to post it in the About Me section or the Who I’d Like To Meet section.
